Firstly WTF are squeeky Bakes ? When you say they stop, are you saying that when you are not on the brake pedal it squeeks ?. Is it a kind of scraping noise ?. If so then the pads have claws on them which you usually adjust when you put the pads on. You may have knocked this when installing and after a few miles of bedding in it will start to scrape against the disc inners. Or do you mean squeeking like something else ?
  6. Can't tell any difference really. But then I've put new brakes on the fron tand had new tension bushes fitted so the whole car feels different now, but better handling for sure :D.
  7. Well on Jap specs the gauge is not measured in PSI but in mmHg, but it was reading almost a bar under 7mmHg
  8. Ok mate, Well it just so happens that I have a sh|t load of concrete blocks, as I was going to build another pond at the back, but I have decided to move house now so we can use these. Obviously I will have to charge for them but no where near the price of new ones.
  9. The cat or decat section of the pipe is the same for SWB / LWB / NA / TT. The only difference is the rear.
  10. James, Cerina posted this up especially for you about two weeks ago mate !!! When you were having problems deciding what wheels to have. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22392 It was her very first own thread and you missed it. Shame on you :(
  11. Sorry mate try again.
  12. Whilst fitting Paul Gunn's Turbo xs BOVs and taking a few video's of them, we could hear a hissing sound after the engine was switched off. Paul said that this had always been the case. Right side of the zorst was also a little smokey. Anyway, Paul fitted a boost gauge yesterday and then phoned me up to tell me that he was only pushing 5 psi. !!!! He popped over later and we ran a few checks on it. We found a few boost leaks and this.... So we took the pipe off and replace both front PCV hoses both were in a bad way There are still a few small Boost leaks to sort out still but after going for another run, we are up to just under 8psi. Paul says the car feels real quick now , still just over 1psi to get back though. Smoke has also stopped. Will be replacing the rest of the PCV hoses and Valves along with any other leaking boost, vaccum hoses we can find a little later.
  13. Piece of P|ss mate. You seen my shed ? I built that myself.
  14. check this mate, we just decatted my missus NA on Monday. http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/images/vids/CatVDecat.wmv
  15. Fook me that's Rare :D :D : D: D: D: D Common  Did I say that out loud :D
  16. You's a Z car driving, octane boost drinking mother f**cker HeeeHeee.... :D
  17. so it's superb then is it john :D
  18. As a rough guide line, you can get away with 14psi safely on stock everything. Then you're looking about 15 - 17psi with uprated intercoolers. Then anything after will start getting you into injectors/ new turbo's and uprated engine parts.

Can't you just take your Z with you and try one on ?

Well if you have stock callipers and stock discs, then a 45mm offset would be more than enough. 35mm is minimum for the 300zx.
  21. Looks very clean. Much better than the stock set up. :D
  22. Nope you can't alter it via a conZult but you can monitor it via a conZult, and adjust it by loosening the bolts and rotating it.
  23. When you say bad batch, do you mean lack of octane or "flat fuel" or are we just refering to anything other than Mr. shells finest ? Just thinking that if it's low octane, then maybe we could take out socket set and a few bottle of octane boost to santa pod and do a couple of runs to see what the difference is. 1) First run normal 15 degrees (i.e. stock) 2) Plug the Conzult in and adjust to 17 degrees and add some octane booster octanne booster.
  24. Welcome mate ! :D. Hope you enjoy the car as much as we do ;). Can you make it to trax on 7th Sep ? Would be good to ease you in gentley to the 300zx community :D
  25. wouldn't wory about the mot. My inlet valves are fooked and I'm kicking out just under 3000 ppm Hydro Carbons. Still passed 118 :D
