The R33 GTR Discs are 320mm so you would have trouble squeezing them under stock wheels which are 16". You will need 17" or bigger. The R33 GTR Callipers will bolt straight on in place of your stock callipers. However the R34 GTR callipers are different and will different bolts. If you are going to upgrade the brakes then yes I would recommend upgrading to SS braided brake lines as well. Another thing you may want to do is flush the entire system and then fill and bleed once the brakes are on. I think Dot 4.1 is recommended but don't hold me to this, there was a post a few weeks back discussing the Brake fluid, so if you do a search there you will find your answer. With the rear brakes you may as well just leave them standard. 80% of the braking is done at the front of the car so for the cost of upgrading the rears, it's not really worth the extra cash. Due to the R33 GTR callipers bolting straight on, it's a p*ss easy job. The pain in the arse is bleeding the system but if you get a one man clutch and brake bleeding kit from Halfords for about a tenna, you should be able to do the whole lot on your own.

Compression tester from halfords for about £10 - £15. Measures in PSI and Bar. you shoul dbe looking at about 130 - 150 psi per cylinder.

Hi Mate, Were the plugs wet when you took them out ?. If the plugs were wet then it soulds to me like you may have valve problems. So you really need to do a compression test. once you have done that, if you are low on a one or more cylinders then you need to do a cylindr leakage test to find out if it's inlet values, zorst valves, head gasket or piston rings. If you try to start it and it won't start but you can smell petrol. Try this. Unplug the fuel pump relay (rear driver side of the engine bay by the windscreen). Crank the engine with full throttle for about 5 seconds. Plug the relay back in and crank for 5 seconds again with full throttle. Does it start or at least try to ?

So if he's got roughtly the same set up, what does he think of the old manwell ? So you got your arse out did you ?. :D
