Update!
It looks great! One thing I have always wondered with kit cars, once they are finished do they end up as the same dimensions as the original car? I would have thought the Ferrari was a much larger car than the MR2 underneath no?

Ah mate just think of all those Woolley friends you could make! In the immortal words of basil fawlty when talking to mr orielly 'just remember mr fawlty there Is always someone worse of than your self' Basil's response 'good, I'd like to meet him I could do with a laugh!'

Rear R33 Brembos
Infact I'm going to do it now otherwise I will forget... So on delving into the box of mystery there is 2x Disks 1x Caliper (much to my surprise. however ive just remembered I left a caliper with Dad, who has the other pin (s) ) 1 pin in the caliper in the box 2x Pad clips 1 set of pads My parents are on holiday at the moment, but i'll try and drop into the house tonight and have a route through the workshop and see if I can find what I have. The other caliper must be there - I hope it is anyway! Leave it with me.

Time for a change?
Hehe both considerations I'll be honest looked at both. Dad had an E38 for many years and it was a brilliant car, in many ways he prefered it to the E65. Maybe not I've had a few years of people looking at my though time for a bit more understated performance perhaps?? :) Ah I was hoping you might reply! The M5 will be my weekend toy as I have a van that I use through the week. Was looking at between 7 and 8k or so, fairly low in the market but there are some genuinely nice ones that pop up in that price range. What sort of milage have you got on yours now? I'm expecting it to be about the same as the zed knocking about and slightly worse on a run on fuel is that what you found? Which model of M3 and M5's do you think are chavy? A good NA's throttle response its awesome anything turbo just has the moment of lag that drives me mad Helpful as ever footmunch ;) hehe. I see what your doing their reverse physcology!

Looking for a daily driver......must be fun though! any suggstions?
Clio 182, very fast fun and cheap to run cars! Astra turbo, i was actually going for the previous shape to the link as they did the coupe and convertible but this doesnt look a bad buy! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201202441507489/sort/default/usedcars/price-from/3000/fuel-type/petrol/model/astra/make/vauxhall/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/keywords/turbo/radius/1500/page/1/postcode/la46hb?logcode=p Another different choice - you can get a hell of alot of saab for your budget these days! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/200934340373403/sort/default/usedcars/maximum-age/up_to_7_years_old/price-from/3000/price-to/4000/fuel-type/petrol/model/9-3/make/saab/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/postcode/la46hb/page/2/radius/1500?logcode=p

Time for a change?
I wish that was an option! Insurance the biggest issue if truth be told, closely followed by lack of money to own both lol then lack of space to store them then the fact that I'm supposed to be finishing my house... !

Time for a change?
Your not kidding...! Thats half the trouble is that they are just so attractivly priced - I do miss my old M3 at times, especially now my mate has his its just awesome. I spent an hour on the phone with him tonight, hes come from a mixture of clio 172/182/197 and a very nice evo 6 and hes wax lyrical about the M3. Exactly what he couldnt believe, is exactly what I miss the most. The incredible throttle response where as anything turbo charged just seems a bit soft on the power delivery! About the same for me, its not the lack of use I do often feel I cant use it though because I dont want to leave it places It might get damaged or I can use it because if i'm going somewhere I end up in someon elses car as ive no seats hehe. Yours is a different kettle of fish though!

Time for a change?
I went with a friend to buy an E46 M3 the other day and it hasnt half rekindled my love for the blue and white roundel. Its always been my game plan to have an E39 M5 someday, I'm just begining to think that "someday" might be "soonday". Argh dont know what to do about my zed, if I sell it i'll probably regret it but then again it is getting to be a right pain in the backside having two two seater vehicles! I love the way my slicktop looks and drives but its the longest i've ever had a car (despite probably doing the least miles in it of any car!) and I think i'm just getting ready for a change?

Rear R33 Brembos
Hi mate yes I still have these. From memory there are the Calipers, discs a new set of pads (nothing special) and there are at least 2 pins and both pad clips. There was a 3rd pin, i actually left it with my dad who was going to modify another spare pin I had in order to make it the same as the other 3. Now wether he still actually has those two pins and can find them I would have to ask. There may even be some brake lines but i'll have to look in the box for you However, I'm sure hardware kits will be availble for the calipers. They are branded brembo and when I bought them the guy told me they were from his R33 GTR. If I did them out I would suspect there is a part number on them so will try and have a look for you when im next at home.

Ok table is booked for 2. I'm an idiot and forgot so that's the best they can do at the moment!

Finally picked me new car up, so new problems lol
Glad youve got a new car mate although surely with all the kit related horror stories it would be better to fix your own kit to know its done right? Do you mind us asking what the insurance offered in the end on your old one? 5/6k as you thought? PM me if you like, or not :) Hopefully you'll have more luck with this one!!

wtf!!! car wont start? :(
Ohh sounds goosed mate, tell you what I'm such a good mate i'll be down with the trailer tomorrow afternoon ;) hehe Jeff im sure will get you sorted but my advice would be check all the usual suspects for loose/coroded connectors and check the ECU isnt wet or anything. Also CAS can cause issues like this and PTU. - Youve got a full silver spares kit havnt you still?! :)
