Any one know much about aga's?
I doubt they will burn wood very well but coal is OK, but you have to fuel them probably twice a day depending on how much work your having it do. Rayburns from memory tend to run on coke tablets but I think it is a choice depending on the grate type. Not that I know anyhing about the model in the link, but perhaps better to use something like this? http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/110856187429?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla

Any one know much about aga's?
My parents have had Aga's for years. First one that was already in the house was a 2 oven late 60's model which was coal fired. You have to watch the thermostats on them as they are supposed to self regulate the fire, often the fire burns out of control and it gets far to hot. Our neighbours had a 4 oven coal fired and if you turned the kitchen lights of the hot ring used to glow! My parents replaced the 2 oven with a 4 oven oil fired one which has been in for about 14 years, its been brilliant and generally very reliable. The oil fired one burns from central heating oil but is NOT connected to our heating or hot water circuits. Of the 4ovens they are all at different temperatures, top right is roasting oven, bottom right main cooking (hot) top left is fairly cool and can be used for slow cooking. Bottom left is a warming oven for plates or keeping food warm etc. The 4 oven model comes with a "hot plate" which we always kept a kettle on for fast boiling. The two main rings, the left hand one is VERY hot and the right hand one is not AS hot, but will still boil a kettle. Things have come on a bit since these earlier models, the electric ones and I think the modern oil ones can have a "sleep" mode where they shut down patially during the day. Remember though from stone cold they can take 12+ hours to get back to opperating temperature. Which means unless you have it on throughout the summer (like we do) the kitchen will be warm, and if you have no other cooker then turning it of will mean you cant cook. They are also quite expensive to run, dad thinks it costs about £5/£6 a day in oil, depending on how much cooking you do that could be more. We do use it as an airer for clothes as well. My understanding is that a rayburn (again another neighbours had a coal fired rayburn) is more aimed at heating and hot water and cooking as a secondary thing. Difference in price will be for perhaps new a reconditioned ones, and wether it burns oil, coal, gas (i think there are some gas models?) or electric. Also depending on if its 2 or 4 oven etc etc. Thats about my knowledge expired!

Lies! lol Ive looked so hard in all the fast and furious films and never seen one! I'll have a butchers when I find my copy of it Great film, based on cartoons called milton. Basically the main character hates his job, finds a way to get his own back but it goes wrong. Bit of a cult classic now. :)

Dipstick Blown Out
The cheapest option at least in the short term would be to a buy a known good engine from a breaker and put that in whilst you rebuild yours. That would mean youve got the car to enjoy. But as said, never more than 14psi/1 bar of boost on stock turbos/pistons etc. Actually not those thats the real problem I believe its the fact that the stock (370cc) injectors simply cannot supply enough fuel which means it melts pistons, typically number 6 as mentioned above.

Dipstick Blown Out
Are you running a standard ish engine and turbos? 1.2 / 1.4 bar is a very high boost pressure to be running. Has it run lean and done damage?

Can I Trust You?

Ah yes, autoboxes are a typicaly fairly weak point on ALL ages of 300zx. I think when that guide was written it was simply that the newer cars were that bit newer and the older cars were that bit older. Now they are all old the boxes tend to be a bit delicate. Not always of course, however UK models had a seperate autobox oilcooler where as the JDM cars did not, kits can be had for £100-£150 IIRC in order to add an oil cooler which on a JDM automatic is recommended. I thought you wanted a manual though? Be honest with your self, as the excitment can take hold and dont rush into buying the first one you see. Thats how I ended up with my first one and it was an automatic, a great and brilliant car but for me the manual was simply better so I converted it and the car was transformed!

Probably less room in a LWB car if truth be told, not sure if the seat runners are any different? as there is only 8" between the two models and in that space they manage to get the rear seats in. At worst they are exactly as the same as its said that essentially up the back of the doors the LWB and SWB cars are the same. Ah thats why its at a reasonable value the SWB cars are normally more sought after. The aftermarket steering wheel is almost certainly the culprit... did you drive it? Check the auto cancel works on the indicators. My first one had had an aftermarket wheel on it at some point, on sale they had refitted the standard one but left parts of the steering column behind the dash board so the hicas didnt work properly and the indicators didnt self cancel!

Rear R33 Brembos
I've got a set of rear brakes from an R33, they are brembo calipers. Does anyone know what they might be worth? I bought them ages ago and for the life of me cant remember how much for and theyve sat in a box ever since. It was one of my many "i'll get around to that" plans but of course I never have.
