  2. Happy birthday mate!
  3. Bloody hell mate thats awful. I must admit ive just driven back from Plymouth and I was suprised to see just how much water was sat either side of the M5 for quite a distance. Hope its not the end of another one :(
  4. Good! As long as its function over form haha. Do they really save so much weight? Amazing!
  5. Looking great mate! Love the rear view mirror! The headlights though , what a shame IMHO!
  6. That's what I was worried about. I had offers of more but still feel its worth 4500 I don't know really, assuming 500 each for brakes wheels and suspension id be expecting 3k for a 95 slicktop tt manual! If your getting an advert written should I be expecting a phone call ;-). Iv some spares as well if it's you to help out a fellow (ex) slicktop owner! :-)
  7. Cheers Pete, I think it's the time of year more than anything. I think I'll leave it as is for now and continue to try and sell and see if it gets any better after Xmas. Ive dropped the price anyway so I'll see how it fairs at that!
  8. Cant seem to get people interested in what I thought would be A really quick sale of a nice zed! I'm wondering wether it's worth selling the coil overs brakes and wheels and returning it to stock to subsequently ask a lower price. Ironically I can imagine most owners would then re fit the mods but you can't win in this case! What do we think?
  9. 600 all in is a bargain! First company I looked at as they were family friends were 1200. Told them where to go and found one that did it for 870 which was considered cheap!
  10. Sounds.... lovely!
  11. I thought we lived in a society that you were innocent until proven guilty? As they have no proof other than a man saw you from 20 yards away. Now, although they asked you if you were the owner of the vehicle thats fine but they cant prove it was you driving? Also, if the vehicle was stopped at the time of the "offence" you wernt driving... so how can they say you were driving and texting? Really pisses me of this petty pointless "crime" they are bothering to waste your time and the CPS, I pray to god they throw it out and you should press charges against the police for wasting your time, requesting that the cost of the court hearing is taken directly from the police officers wage.
  12. The pictures are the best bit haha what a wreck
  13. Ah what a shame, RIP!
  14. hahaha http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TEAM-VAN-12Mths-MOT-595-AINT-GETTING-NO-PLANE-CRAZY-FOOL-PRICE-/180999739650?_trksid=p2045573.m2102&_trkparms=aid%3D555003%26algo%3DPW.CAT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D33%26meid%3D3293585144818224769%26pid%3D100034%26prg%3D1031%26rk%3D4%26
  15. I think you would have to be a full on mental to have handed over money in the first place for one? Many years ago when I worked in the computer shop we had an odd customer with one, she brought her computer in to be backed up and reformatted and took huge offence at us asking for her password so we said fine take it away and take the password of. Eventually she relented, password being "armygirl" bit odd until we started the PC up and realised there were two users - looking like she had a proper split personality. Anyway, i got the short straw and had to go and set up a printer on it after she had collected it. I got there and she was being strange as usual (I will hasten to add, so mental she had just shut her electric garage door ontop of the PT cruiser, actually made it look better I think?). So I set up the printer and she asked me to change a few settings, including the home page to google, fine I thought went into Internet options etc, I.E picks up the browsing history through the home page entry box... Type in http://www.g, holy shit there were some interesting entrys in there! I made a switft exit!
  16. Have to get that wall pointed up again ;) In all fairness it is quite interesting to see what will happen, I work for a scottish company despite being english so I did wonder if any change in employment or tax law if it became independant would affect me or not? I think the argument for oil is somewhat weak - I know a few guys who work "up there" in the oil and gas trade, they say that a good percentage of the employees are english anyway so their wage would come back to england.
  17. Ah for the best I suppose mate. Are you leaving the world of zeds behind or starting afresh?
  18. Any news on this mate? Have you got it dry now?
  19. Holy shit man thats awful! Saddens me to see! Going to need those targas of for a while to air that out ;) I hope you get a positive resolution in the end mate, got a nice slicktop for you whe network rail send you a nice cheque!
  20. I have text you again mate, email me on chriscave686 (at) hotmail.com if you wish, incidently thats also my paypal address.
  21. Its been said above but remember that all UK spec cars were Turbos, so if its an NA you are looking at it WILL be an IMPORT. You will generally find that an import NA will be more expensive than UK model to insure. However I've found insurance reasonable on them at a young age, I had my first 300zx TT import at 20 and it was about £1500 a year, granted things have gone up a bit since then (5 years ago) but the values of the car have gone down and the age has gone up so classic policies are often quite attractive. They are certainly cheaper to insure than imprezas, skylines and evo's as generally less young people have them so less crash them etc etc. Good luck with the search and make sure you buy the best car you can!
  22. Looking amazing Pete! must be brilliant to get into these projects and be able to really go to town on them!
  23. As few as there are forsale, people just are not buying them! I've had but two calls on mine and I'm going to stick my neck out and say its pretty much the best one for sale in the country at the moment (well I would say that), but in all seriousness there is so much tatt out there it makes it hard for a good one to really stand out. I wish I had the means to keep it and just buy another car but with recent developments at work and one or two other things I really do need to get something I can use every day and not have kittens over if I park it anywhere slightly dodgy.
  24. Hi mate I text you on that number but not sure if you got it, have you an email address?
