Just changing the oil (should do as i've had the car almost 3 years!) Put in some Molyslip and 2 litres of 80-90..... How many more litres do i need i have heard it's 2.1 although someone told me it was 4,5 which i think is the engine oil not gearbox??? Cheers Alex

I've noticed the same on mine it makes a noise like a supuercharger in 1-3 then stops in 4 and 5 and also the noise dissapears when the car is stationary soon as i dip the clutch??????

Did it stop after a while then? Only thing that worries me is it never used to do it before? If it is the input shaft bearing where would i change the oil for this.......never change the oil for this before?????

Really? Clutch still seems to work ok could this be serious?????

I've noticed my clutch is making a whining noise which dissapears whenever i depress it, it also now sounds like i've a supercharger installed which well was nice but gets on my nerves now....i need more peace! It's an RPS street clutch and lightened flywheel which i've had for about a year and a half, the noise seemed to just appear one day and is definately not the gearbox noise or any other as it's easy to hear when the car is stationary and next to a wall!!!!! Any help or good clutch experts greatly appreciated. Cheers Alex

A few months ago i decided ***k working for ego's in TV in Film and get a proper job so after turning 40 decided to become an electrician. I'm on a course in Exeter and have passed my Building Regs exam (95%) and just passed my BS7671 16th edition exam. I'm here for another two weeks PAT testing and testing installations but want to get more experiance with a spark in London for about 6 months or so. Not been on for a while but does anyone know where the Zen Garage is.....Mark are you still operating i needed to ask a question about my RPS clutch, not a real problem but it's making a whirring noise,almost sounds like the tubs winding up (but it's not that) and when stationary and i engage the clutch the noise sounds like it's the tubs winding down..... Well, dried out the Apexi as it was a little wet, the slam panel is also split with a few big holes so repaired that and used a hairdryer on the filter.....drove to Exeter this morning and all was well..........will see how it fares the rest of the week.... No rain today was beu i ful!!!!!

Also forgot to mention is has been pissing down all the way down to Cornwall!!

I'm living in Plymouth for a month attending an electricians course in Exeter....... I drove down from London today car running fine no problem at all,stopped at Exeter to put £15 worth of V-max in and about 15 minutes later i feel the car isn't running as it should....a few minutes later it starts coughing as though the fuel isn't getting through, pull over and check everything and the idling is so bad it almost stalls.....everything looks ok check TPS, plugs, Temp sensor, plug and PTU but all looks well.....left the car for an hour start it up and seems to idle ok, my first thought is the fuel and second is the PTU but it's a series 2 so surely this would be ok????? Also thinking it could be the fuel pump does this fail gradually or just pack up completely????? Going to check all fuses to make sure nothing is loose and again all wiring to the plugs.... All i've done today to the car is clean out the throttle bodies and spray carb cleaner in that pipe in the back i can't remember the name of????? Any advise anyone????

For the second time in 6 months i've been made redundant that's it i'm training to be a sparky....sick and tired working for f***wits and worrying about someone elses company....tomorrow it's internet....sparky course....new start......think as I also just turned 40 I finally have to get myself a trade before it's too late!

Anyone got the above and any pictures thinking of getting one but not sure if they're going to block out any of the dials..... Cheers

Thinking of de-cats but not until i can afford new tubs........on that point been looking into Hybrids which should give me better spool and a little more power but i don't want to get into to having to upgrade internals just yet......i would rather get the most out of the engine i have now......but how much more power would Hybrid tubs give me before i would have to start getting 555's and forged pistons etc....????

Finally got hold of some R33 GTR calipers and have now run in some Ferodo Pads, drove down to Southampton at the weekend......wow what a difference now the car dips on it's nose and really stops as it should...however i have a little vibration when i do brake which could mean warped discs?????

Sor far i have: Lightened flywheel Lightened underdrive pulley RPS clutch Brembo calipers Ferodo 2500 pads Eibach springs new rear struts Strut bars front and rear Upgraded ECU Shortshifter Boosted with Greddy Profec II 18" Ultralight wheels 265's rears 235's fronts What next and am probably looking for more power.........;o)

There's lots of lag so must be quite large.....
