Had this problem for a while, changed the old bushes to poly ones as most here asid this would cure the problem......made no difference whatsoever so decided to take a closer look at the brakes. Checked all pistons individually and all are moving ok although on the left side i noticed the top clip that hold the top straight rod that runs left to right that holds the top of the spring that holds in the pad (still with me????) was not there and the pin was halfway out which also meant the spring was twisted...............put all this back with a new clip but not yet tested. Without sounding too desperate and still not tested yet, if it still does it what could it be?????

Anyone know where i can get a Brembo caliper repair kit or servicing kit????

I've noticed after driving for a while my gear change gets a little stiff.... I'm thinking it could be a few things maybe the oil maybe the clutch although clutch is uprated and relatively new and perhaps as i've uprated to a short shifter perhaps it's done up a little tight and when it gets hot the rubber bushes expand and tighten the whole thing up..........maybe???? Any ideas??????????? Anyone???

My clutch seemed to be squeaking a lot and i also noticed after driving a while sometimes the gearchange also got a little stiff. Went under the car and decided to spray up into where i thought a lever may have been just inside the bell housing right underneath where the slave cylinder sits and hay presto! Not only does the clutch no longer squeak when i put my foot on the pedal but it feels much easier to press and gears engage even better now!!!! Love finding things like that!:dance:

Interesting then perhaps it should have always been a dimmer and never worked properly???

Got one of those indiglo dials kits from flea bay. Only downside is it has it's own switch so i have to first turn on the lights with the main switch then turn it on with it's own switch. What i really want is for them to come on when i turn on the main lights so no need for an additional switch. I've found the 12v feed to the lights which i've wired the transformer into. They do come on when i turn on the main switch but not all the time. I've worked out that the switch to turn on the indiglo lights is not a permanent on/off 12v feed switch, it just makes a contact then dissengages. Does anyone have this set up and have they re-wired it so it comes on with the main light switch? Cheers Alex 07944045178

Brembo's weren't new the discs are the Brembo's are 2nds. I'll check for the pistons working properly... Cheers Alex

Didn't lower it that much! I'll check with Z centre that's where i bought the springs. Do the poly bushes wear then and could this be my problem? Also what's the story on piston refurb kits for the Brembo calipers? Cheers guys. Alex

Really where can i get them from and how much are adjustable tension rods and do i need both front and rear and how easy are they to set up? Cheers guys. Alex

Oh dear here we go what??????????? It seemed to do it when i put the 33 GTR calipers and discs on. When i put the new discs on it dissapeared then just appeared intermittantly. I will change the the tension rod bushes but am thinking it could be the pistons which are not working evenly..........did someone mention a repair kit or new seal kit for this? Cheers Alex

Also forgot to mention i did change the springs and lowered it a few months ago! Eibach a little stiffer a little lower...

Sometimes it does and sometimes it's fine????? I have the R33 GTR set up with DBA slotted discs (brand new). Someone told me it may be tension rod bushes but not too sure??? Anyone have any pics of these and how much are they to replace and how easy to replace? If not this what else could it be?? Cheers Alex 07944045178.......

Hi James saw you drivin' over Kew Green on the weekend! Car looks good have you got those funky rear brake lights the led cluster ones? Also have you used the guy in ***** Lane or could you reccomend them?

I've just noticed both rear sills (just in front of each wheel) are discolouring forming bubbles and rusting...... I guess i need to replace both sides towards the join just before each door. At the moment i have some 265's on the rear with my 19" rims..... They're on they're way out and need to replace the tyres... Can i fit 275's on these???? They look like they'll fit ok???? Cheers Alex

Quite like the gold maybe a little darker gold though with the red decals would look good! I also like the black but they don't really stand out much.

The car is red which i why i thougt red calipers would be too much!

There is a disc of metal round the back of each wheel which can be bent quite easily.....when i fitted my new Brembo calipers i heard something like metal scraping metal.... Turned out to be the metal discs which were scraping the discs...just bent them out of the way and the noise dissapeared.

My Brembo calipers need tidying up so i'm looking to re-paint them and fit new decals..... Not too sure what colour should i go for 1.Black with white decal ? 2.Gold with red decal? 3.Red with white decal? Opinions please and pics if anyone's got them>> Cheers Alex
