Nice one i'll check tomorrow,does it sound genuine 93 from my description?

Can someone give some advice,i've seen a lovely import auto the dealer says it's a 93,it has a rear spoiler brake light but the seatbelts are in the doors,it's leather interiror but it also has the earlier style cloth.....it also has the clocks in both MPH and KMH is this a genuine '93????

Try the pads first you should change them after a while anyway,not sure which ones to reccomend though i need new ones my ones are squealing !!!!

Hi Jonce had exactly the same problem,the pistons tend to move further when the pads are low that's what's creaking,put new pads in and it will stop guarunteed!!!!

What does a dump valve do how much are they and do they make any difference?????????????

Ok i see the choice buy a manual and you will need a new clutch......eventualy or buy an auto and you will need a new gearbox........eventually. Anyone want to confirm or deny the earlier cars i.e. 89 90 had more problems with the autoboxes?????????

So as i'm testing out an auto Saturday what should i look for or listen for changing up and down??????

Funny i thought black was the fastest colour?????? The 928 was an s so only 3 speed the s2 had antilock brakes and a 4 speed box,the boxes were Mercedes stock and quite reliable,problem with the car as a whole was the electrics,a good idea but not at all reliable,Germans are good engineers but i'd leave electronics to the Japanese any day!!!!!! So in conclusion auto's are just as good as manuals, Yellow is faster than Red, and 300's are faster than Supra's............wish they made a paddle shift!!!!!!!!! Only kidding

For a daily driver ,to keep costs down i'd recommend a non turbo probably a 92 with later style interior a grey metallic is the best colour say around 54k miles................hang on a minute i've got one of those.........and it's for sale!!!!!! Better than that it's around your price range.................

V6 not quite the same as a V8 4.7 litre auto, although i'll check one out this weekend 300zx that is and let you know on Monday. I have enjoyed a manual but non turbo nevertheless although i need more power whether it's a manual or an auto. I just get tired sitting in traffic and London isn't the best place for a manual,just my humble opinion. When i move out then maybe i'll go back to a manual.... Then again if someone does actually buy my non turbo then i may not have to trade it in anyway!!!!! Ok colours what's the best black silver or red...........which is faster!!!!!!! ;o)

Ok so both are good and both are fast are there really that many problems with the boxes breaking? I heard early cars have problems,would i be ok with a 91 or even a 92??????? Should i avoid a 90?

Veering towards an auto........... Ok with mods auto or manual??????? I'm looking at trading in my lovely manual non turbo for one this weekend,mileage seems a little high thought 65k and £4999????

Pete to be honest my last car was a 928 Porsche 4.7 litre and i loved kicking down from 3rd to second at 70 it flew and i did get that kick back in the seat. It's because i hate traffic i bought an auto Porsche the only problem was it ran very hot!!!!!! 4 speed sounds good and i agree an auto changing is much smoother than a manual. Ok worst case how much would Jeff charge for a gearbox re-build????????????

As i live in London and i now have tennis leg i'm thinking of getting an auto over a turbo. Which is quicker manual or auto...... Opinions and reasons please.... And lets say they're both standard!!!

After i asked him for either the cash when the shipper arrives or a cheque for £6250 then wait 3 weeks to clear i've had no reply..............yes it's a scam! I still need to sell though and get a TT

Ok i've told him to send me the asking price no more no less also i've told him he has to wait between 3 and 4 weeks until the cheque has cleared the issuers account i.e. his. I wouldn't have given him or his shipper any of my bank details. It does sound like a scam to me.......... Bugger anyone want to buy a car?????? £6000 quick sale!!! I need a twin turbo ;o(

It does make me nervous but what if i ask him to send me just the £6250 wait until the cheque clears after 5 days then transfer the car? So long as i have the money what could be the problem? Ok so he could be laundering money or he could be avoiding some sort of import tax on the total amount. What could be the comeback on me?
