You must have hands of a baby i found it real awkward and scratched my knuckles to shit. I need to get a smaller spanner of a small child to help me. What were you saying about cleaning the idling out can you explain in a bit more detail,i need to do it just so i know it's done,and if i need then to re-set the idling......? Cheers Vijay

Firstly when someone said it's a little tricky to change the two bushes situated underneath the gear know are they mad.... Tried it on the weekend,and got everything out apart from the last nut and bolt on the very underneath of the gear stick it was impossible i in fact gave up...... I also don't think it's that that is causing the wobble. It could be the whole plate with the large rubber mount in the middle,the one where the bolt comes out of that might just be old as it doesn't seem to hold rigid enough. Either that or i need to replace any gear box mounts....... Also i was speaking with Vijay about idling and he suggested cleaning it out with some sort of carb cleaner,he suggested it may chuck out smoke but when cleaned should idle better,anyone tried this????

I've noticed when driving over small bumps my gear stick wobbles i think more than normal. Are there any engine or gearbox mounts that may have come lose i can tighten up?????? Sorted the low idling with the grub screw,also sorted the clutch adjustment. Seems fine now.

Nice one Cos i'll have a look and check it tomorrow i'm off to Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire for the weekend so want to get it right... Also just set up the idle as it was running a little low,around 600 Jeff reckons should be more like 800-850,i've adjusted the idle screw,turned it off for 10 seconds to let the ECU re-set it self,seems to be ok although someone said to take off the connector to the ECu first???? Like the lights how the ***k do you take them out i've tried but no luck??????????

Simple to anyone that's done it but how do i adjust the biting point of the clutch as mine seems to be almost play of an inch from the floor and i need to make it a longer??????? Or mail me alex.tcsoho@virgin.net

Also quite fancy changing the inside of the lights to silver instead of the dull grey,anyone tried it,is it easy to take the glass off,i've tried but can't even get the fooking light out????????

After timing belts finished by Jeff at Zedworld,flew back to London having fun with a Subaru WRX,noticed that when i hit about 120 the speedo dropped off completely as if busted. When i took it back to 100 it kicked in again then going past 120 it then cut out,anyone else noticed that? Also anyone else rigged up the rear relfectors working as side lights?Thinking of doing this.........

Weired thing happened yesterday,after reversing out of a car park the car stalled which could have been me. Then the car wouldn't start,left it for about a minute it then started. After driving for 200 yards it then stopped again. After 3 minutes it then started. After driving for about 3 miles it then stopped again. No stalling no spluttering just stopped dead. Fuel pump working could hear it,fuel pump fuse ok. I thought at one point when it stalled i heard a short buzzing coming from the ECU but i could be wrong. The car now starts ok but i'm nervous to drive it as it may do it again. Joinned the AA so if it breaks down again will take it to Jeff for him to check out,any similar experiances or ideas what it could be,Jeff suggested fuel damper????? Alex

I have to say a 300zx is one of the best shaped cars i've seen,personally adding spoilers or side skirts just makes it look worse!!!!!!!!!! I know some will dissagree though........... By the way if Mark or anyone else knows,where can i get some clear side indicators???????????/
