Brian, that driver I sent does work on XP as I've tried it on my desktop PC. You just have to change the default comm port in Datascan to the one shown in Devices for the UART.

I dunno Brian. Thats a male serial plug. You aint gonna plug that in to a lappy. I reckon thats the opposite of what you wanted.

Isn't that to convert a serial device to plug in to a usb port though? Try the driver.

I'm sure someone said XP was a problem with the usb cables. I have a usb Datascan running on an old W98 lappy no probs.

What o/s is on the lappy?
