The odometer is electronic, run from a signal off the speedo. It's very common for them to stick. Usually because of crap on the mechanism (they're not sealed) or sometimes the actual stepper motor fails, like mine did.

'95 is series 4. Electronic Hicas supposed to be series 3 onwards, but never seen it so suspect it may have been series 4 on.
