Any bodyshop comments on FG or Dosthill or??
I now own Jez's old motor and must say that I too am less than impressed. Some bits are ok and other parts of the car give you the impression they couldn't be arsed. Robin

How to Stop stone Chips
Rich In F1 we use stuff called helitape. It's a clear tape about 0.2mm thick and very rubbery, be ideal for the job. Can see if I can source some if you like ? Robin

Mileage
Hi Chris Difficult question to answer (so many variables). If it's been looked after and well serviced then they will go a long way before any major mechanical work is required, mine has 107k on the clock on original engine and turbos, other people on here have higher mileages than that but not sure if much work has been carried out. If it's an import are you talking 70k kilometers ? that's only mid 50k miles I think, or have you already converted it ? Don't forget this is a 13 year old car and parts do fail. Check for any funny engine noises, smoke from exhaust after extended idle or when booting it, colour of the oil on the dipstick. If you're not sure, see if you can get someone who knows the car to check it over and check the fault codes in the ecu, as if you buy a pup they cost a lot to put right. hope this is of some help, good luck Robin

More problems part 3
Check the level of the PAS fluid, if it's low it should bring the light on. If it does need topping up check the hoses to and from the reservoir for leaks. Robin

Broadband?
Pete If your estate is only a couple of years old chances are you won't have a cable network yet as the highways won't have been passed to the local authorities. Your best bet would be to enquire about BT Midband. Not as quick as BB but faster than dial up and without the limitations in distance from the exchange. Robin
