  2. Hi john I rang them, gave them the car details, told them 1990 300zx tt, import. They came back with 370 squid ! No i'm not that old ( 35 ) ,although i bloody feel like it sometimes ! I do have 2 other cars with them, not sure if that makes a difference ? Maybe I should ring them again and get them to confirm the premium. Robin
  3. thax for the advice. Allways do read before signing anything, especially when mrs tinkywinky shoves something under my nose !
  4. Got a quote from direct line for £370,fully comp, protected ncd. Yes i did tell him it was an import robin
  5. Anybody happen to know what PCD the stud holes are on ? Also if anybody knows what the front and rear wheel offset is,or where i can find the information. The reason I ask is that I have access to a set of 18" OZ super tourismo's from a v6 clio, as they are now partners it may be they use the same stud pattern and PCD. Any help as ever is appreciated Robin
  6. Hi guys Anbody suggest a decent insurance company that offers reasonable cover for a realistic price ? Quotes so far range from 600-900 squid. What is a decent figure for a 35 year old with no convictions, full no claims. Any help appreciated. Robin
  7. JeffTT has a list of vin numbers and corresponding years of manufacture. not sure if he wants loads of peeps ringing him to find out if theres is ligit though. Date code is on the inside of the rear light covers (in the boot). Easy to remove and check, again they may have been changed. Only way to be sure is via the VIN

  10. Hi all New to 300's and hence the forum. Picked up my 300 yesterday, did 56miles before blowing the auto box. Not a good start. 300 going back in exchange for a manual that works ! Anybody give me details of where to get parts cd and any good tech literature. Happy posting Robin Harris
  11. So much for trying to save the environment ! To use that much fuel in such a short distance i would suggest that you had several injectors running flat chat, hence the black smoke and reluctance to start. Sounds like an electrical fault caused by the heat soak when you keyed off. I'm no expert, only just bought my first 300, blew the auto box within 60 miles of picking it up :( Hope this is of some help. Will watch the post for developments.
