  1. Mark Check out the local 'Thief's Gazette' aka Adtrader yellow paper type thing. There are loads of bits n bobs for cars fopr sale on there, always worth a look with regards the wheels. Sorry to hear of whats happened, pisses me off big style. Cheers John
  2. Cheers Chris much appreciated mate. John
  3. Sorry but its a no from me, I dont think my auto box will make it and I dont think it will be a manual by then. Cheers John
  4. Well I just spent a minute looking for the coke can....its probably half full as I was wondering where that ended up........btw its a series 1 coke can. Cheers John
  5. Yes Chris it was Shrek's car, but he has another one since selling me that one. Manual Conversion.......well with mine I am gonna phone the guy at the garage to see if he will take it on, I think he will as he is only doing the bare bones of the job, i'll finish it. Bet u cant wait with regards yours, I know now I am gettin kinda excited as its so close now, and I get paid Tuesday next week so funds are in place.....hopefully. Keep me posted as to your car. Cheers John
  6. Alan....a cannibal is a cannibal in any language.....needs must    Cheers John
  7. Mikey u been on the kebab's again :nono: Did u get your car fixed? What about the roadtax reminder, did u get that sorted as well? Cheers John
  8. Mikey might be a loose wire or something silly like that, maybee something disturbed with the engine being out. Cheers John
  9. I think you are right with regards finances. If the car was put into a garage for a rebuild god knows the cost but the end results can be seen with as I said some old 240 and 260Z's. For me my car is a hobby, like yourself....its just yours is more of a hobby than mine...well more involved. I am hoping mine will be manual soon but I have just found out the council are gonna be digging up the road near where I stay so I might be stuck at home till they are finished ffs (there are speed bumps that I avoid by going a slightly longer road home, thats the road they are digging up). Its a sad reflection on the times that these cars are worth more in bits but in my case needs must. Cheers John
  10.   Just been caught......Run!!! Seriously I said to Mikey when I looked at it that the car could be put up on blocks, stripped right back, welded up etc. Look at some of the 240 Z and 260 Z, they must have been in that state or similar. Am gettin grief now at work to get the shell out, just the glass and the fuel tank and its bye bye  Cheers John
  11. Well I am not 100% sure either, I was thinking they were vacuum........anyone else as hopefully I am right. Cheers John
  12. BUMP.....Sill cant play this, anyone has this problem. Cheers John
  13. Where the origional pipe goes to the fuel to the right of your pic can u not cut the pipe and put in a t-piece then link the pipe that is missing from the other vacuum pipe....see my pic if it makes it clearer. (cut at the blue line, insert plastic T-piece, then link hose thats missing into other part of T-piece) Cheers John
  14. Hi Chris What changes are you talking about mate. Cheers John
  15. No worries every reply helps so cheers for that. John
  16. Cheers for that but the reason for my question is that I was gonna carry out the conversion myself with the parts from my donor car but I am going to give it to a local garage who has 300 experience and has done a conversion as well. Am just trying to keep the work they carry out to a minimum to keep the cost down. If I need to change the loom to the manual one I will so in my time as well as the vacuum pipes as well but thats another issue. Cheers John
  17. Fantastic. If it comes to it I will change the loom to the manual when I get the car back. I am guessing its quite straight forward, I will have a look at the wiring diagram later. Cheers for the reply. John
  18. With regards the manual conversion, is it possible to use the auto box loom as to my knowledge its gonna be the speed sensor wiring, the start inhibit circuit and rev lights. Rev lights I was gonna wire up through a switch (plus I have other lights to fit to the car). The guys that are (hopefully) gonna carry out the conversion are only gonna do the bare bones of the job, I was gonna finish it off and was hoping the start circuit can be by-passed, speed sensor can be joined to the auto loom, and leave the reverse lights. Cheers John
  19. Well on closer inspection there is quite a bit of rust/panels rusted away. For me this car could be saved, only if it was fully stripped down to the bare bones then welded up and rebuilt but thats a 10 year plan and next for it is the car park in the sky. Have u got your manual conversion done yet. I phoned a guy who has done one to get a price so I have to phone him this week as he is thinking about it lol (when he converted his car it took him 3 days). I just want it mobile and I can mess about with the interior panels and the vacuum piping etc. The pics aint too good but someone must have loved this car at one time. Cheers John
  20. Hi Vijay I'll try and remove them first, hopefully this week, and if they dont shatter i'll pm you and we can sort something out if thats ok. Cheers John
  21. Here are some pics of the donor car i'm breaking. Kinda sad to see the car in this state but I want the manual box from it for my Auto TT thats got next to no 3rd gear. Its at the final stages of being stripped but thats 3 months of up early in a sunday morning to strip her but we are close to the shell going to the car park in the sky. Just a few pics of whats left. Cheers John
  22. I think at one point on ebay they were 235 delivered and I remember them being on ebay at 175 delivered, not from flat4 though. Its been at 200 for ages though.....here we go again ffs where does this stop lol more and more I want for my car. I have dealt with them before at Flat4 and they are sound. Cheers John
  23. Would this be the same as in the link below. Flat4 Online are based in Glasgow and I have bought a few bits n bobs from them. I quite fance on of these kits..........even though my car is basically standard, just for looks as i'm after a fancy front bumper. Link: http://www.flat4online.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cName=nissan-fairlady-300zx Cheers John
  24. A labourer where I used to work put a 3/8 stud in a plug when the power wash kept poping the fuse.......he used to be a fireman ffs and retired after an accident....scarey. I blew my top when I found that as it was used for long periods of the day. Cheers John
  25. Coop for me....I have mine to fit Cheers John
