  1. What do you get out of paying for subscription as its not that i'm a tight wad but £20 seems a tad excessive if someone only visits every month or so. Thanks
  2. It's not really a hard job as all that. Do it yourself. I have done it 5 times in last 6 weeks and still having problems with injctors. I can now do it with eyes shut so if you need some advise i'm here to help.
  3. Is there anywhere in UK to refurbish 550cc injectors or do they have to go to the states?
  4. Yeah right! If you can get the bolts undone that is. They always round off.
  5. I shouldn't think the part is defective it's probably just the wire broken but still got to get to the end.
  6. Vijay, I had exactly the same problem and it wouldn't even register after putting a large compressor on. It turned out to be the main intake pipes right at front, god only knows how many times these have been off, underneath the foam heat shield. Didn't realise first of all so stripped all plenum off as I knew there was a problem and changed injectors at same time. Put it back and still the same.:( Could have fixed it in 5 mins. But now created more problems. Yeah it had about a 2inch split in but ran fine and only realised as wasn't building enough boost at wot. HTH
  7. After stripping half of engine to bits have finally found the problem of the boost leak - one of the intake rubber pipes! Anyone tell me where i can get some of the silicone ones as cant afford the nice shiny ones just yet. Ta
  8. Vijay, thats a good link and it does the whole engine so all oil pan. thanks. having problems scanning that sheet at moment but is in process by the way.;)
  9. the plasic was white and they where made by Venom. They where bought cheap from someone in the states, but the box stated 6x550cc.
  10. these testers - should they pressurise the complete engine (all around the oil in block) or just intake side?
  11. After fitting new injectors I have had a few problems to say the least. Trouble is as I did a bit of other upgrading/ repairing at same time so don't really know what is wrong. The thing I need to know is what should the car run like with larger injectors but still an SE chip for standard 370cc injectors. Thing is I have tried JWT chip set up for 555 injectors and it ran absolutely cr@p, wouldn't even idle, popped, coughed and spluttered all up road. So I put the old one back (SE). It will now idle reasonable but not brilliant and will run fine up the road. Do you guys think the injectors are not really 550cc injectors:mad: or the chip will not work in my car. Getting despirate now.:(
  12. I have had similar responses to you droptopz. some emails are responded to others aren't even though very polite. similarly some parts where lost in post but almost got them all even though they should be since I ordered them in December last year! Just waiting for the 2 gaiters now, they might be here by september.
  13. theres probably othing to stop the red lights being white but where do you get red bulbs from?
  14. Are there any decent tuning companies other than SE Nissan in the UK to make a new chip for me car?
  15. I was going only about 30mph along road so just over idle
  16. My cambelt pulley snapped off aswell couple of years ago aswell and luckily for me didn't damage any valves. had a con rod bent when stripped down but think that was like that before so was going to strip it anyway.
  17. is already socket ta, but might go for custom mapped from se nissan.
  18. because after fitting larger injectors myself now might need to get somewhere to get chip fitted as it doesn't run very well with old chip.
  19. Just wandering if my car will work without a chip in it atall. Obviously it will not run very well but can I get from a to b without damaging something?
  20. The sizes you need can be found on here: http://www.takakaira.com/rimsandtyres/rimsandtyresindex.asp Good luck finding some wheels as there aren't a great deal that will fit!
  21. yes it is set up for 555 injectors but is only a clone not pucker.
  22. Help needed please! Just finished fitting a set of 550cc injectors and a jwt ecu for them. Trouble is the ecu seems to be chucking out too much fuel. Firsty of all she ran but like cr@p. Next she seems to lock up, this started getting me worried - did I drop a bolt somewhere in the engine? Next she just would not turn over.Bt after a bit of investigating I have realised that if I remove the fuel pump fuse she'll turn over fine obviously not sparking, so my conclusion is it must be flooding so much that the engine is locking. Feasable? Does the timing on the cas need setting up any different to what it was before because she don't want to go! :(
  23. That kit is similar but not quite as good. Basically the same. The one I have has the bolts welded to the brackets. The long bolts have threads that are about 90mm long with 17mm head and small ones are 40mm long with 14mm head. Don't ask me anything technical about bolts as I haven't got a clue! The kit also comes with 4x1mm shims, 4x2mm shims, 12x4mm shims and 2 washers. Can't remember where I got them from so haven't got a pic, i'll look but can't promise. HTH
  24. so how do you know what the car is filled with? maybe its been changed maybe not.
