No i haven't cashed cheque yet, just in middle of taking all mods off it to try and get some of the thousands I spent back, or maybe i'll keep them for my next project.

Well finally after 2 months the insurance company has wrote back and told me my beloved Z is to be a write off and have offered me £4570 minus the £550 excess. Is this a good price because they sent me the cheque straight away without even agreeing it with me. Would really love to withdraw it and fix myself but haven't really got time, and also they won't even let me buy it back from them, it will go to auction, is this right? I want it back, I miss it. :cry:

As the SWB are obviously shorter does this make the doors different or the windows shorter or is it all behind on the rear wing/tailgate?

Thought I would take the short cut home last night down some VERY slippy roads. What should have been a 40min journey turned out to be a 2.5hour one after ended up half down an embankmentin a field. THe back just spun round doing 20 mph. Trouble is i managed to hit a small/shrub on way round and as a result we now have a damaged door, side window, sill, front wing and front bumper, not to meantion any damage underneath which cant see yet. How many people think this will write her off?

i mean it des not go down as much as it did before, seems to stick up about 2-3mm as if something is stopping it going down. it still catches the latch but not flush with wings/headlights/centre panel.

anyone know where I can get a sill for a SWB Z, the bodyshop cant get any. got thhe dreaded MOT in Jan.

Just got round to fitting a slam panel kit. Not overly impressed. Although they look nice had to file a few edges off to get to fit right and now the bonnet won't fit flush. Anyone else had any probs with fitting and if so ideas how I can adjust it so the bonnet fits flush.

Why is it when ever you get a decent race on your hands something always goes wrong on your car. Bloomin connector on 1 spark plug keeps popping off and end up running on 5. This time was up for it with a Evo7, couple of weeks ago nice Supra. Must fix this little problem at weekend as sure could have taken them both. :dance:

Was the Z32 ever tested on topgear or similar on tv? Just wandering what they thought to them.

I've have the same problem when blipping but not the idle. Have had ever since I've had the car - 3 years and still haven't found problem.

Got the dreaded MOT in a month or so and my reversing lights are very tempremental, they tend to flash on and off when going back. I presume it needs a new switch on gearbox. Is this just a case of unscrewing and replacing? Do you actually need reversing lights for MOT? for some reason I'm sure you don't.

how can you change the torque but not nec the bhp? just wandered as my car seems to have a fair bit of torque but not so much bhp, thought they would go hand in hand.:confused:

yes. my tt ran like cr*p with red tops in one side but fine with brown!

Coming back from a night on the town in London one day, a monk jack deer decided he wanted a headache and we hit him doing about 60, unfortunately there was a plod car behind us so we had to stop. Luckily they realised there was nowt we could have done and there was no damage done to the car, amazing really.

When I was younger I bought a blue neon aeriel to go on my car, don't ask me why, anyway I must have been pulled over 3 times in as many nights because it was blue. Went down the local plod station and they said if it was any other colour it shouldn't have been a problem so I took it back and changed it for a green one. Still got pulled with that one though so doesn't really make much odds!:rolleyes:

would love to have come but last time I decided to go it was wet and noone ran, people just raced round the mud in the car park, so thought it was bit of waste of time. glad you all had fun.
