  1. I have just recived my 3G discs - not fitted yet but they look good quality. I went for the RS-10 on the front, and 10-GR rear. Also got the Porterfield pads which are very good by all accounts on both standard & skyline set-ups.

Where in Norfolk Andy? I'm from near Hunstanton originally, moved due to lack of manufacturing / engineering industry. Will be handy to know if I ever need to combine a visit home with a parts run :)
  3. Stuart Would be interested providing my engine swap & associated work goes to plan, which should take 3-4 weeks in all. Alex.
  4. Sounds very like mine at the minute, but I have noticed it more in 3rd and 4th. Revs rise a bit quicker than normal when really flooring it but speed doesn't, then the revs seem to hang a bit before normality returns. Doesn't always do it, but then my engine is showing it's age a bit so I doubt its delivering full torque. I have a nice RPS sport sitting in my living room which will be going on in a week or so with a new(er) engine.
  5. They look good - tempted to do mine then in a few weeks. Did you rub down & spray the whole wheel, or just the visible outer edge?
  6. Top the power steering fluid up a touch under the bonnet - usually this is all that's needed. I had this and haven't seen my light since.
  7. Mine is on my living room floor at the moment along with a host of other bits ;) Will be going on in 2-3 weeks. I'm interested in how other people have found it.
  8. Nice! Is it my eyes, or does the police reply letter relly have a speed camera as a watermark
  9. Andy I see that you are going to get the shifter bushings and upper & lower boots from Courtesy. Have you investigated what UK Nissan dealer would charge for these? I only ask as I keep meaning to find out but haven't managed to yet, and if it's a lot more here then I'll also get mine from the States. James - depending on the answer to the above, I may also want the bushings & boots. Cheers Alex.
  10. Agreed - just a gimmick really (probably sponsored by Porsche!), but it's good to watch - some good shots of his footwork as well heel & toeing etc. Also had Shumacher in this or last years Ferrari F1 car v Eurofighter in a straight line over 900m - the plane won so he moaned about standing water ruining his start. It went past him at 320mph  Mind you he still hit 190mph in 13.2 seconds in the car.
  11. Just watched him lob the new GT3 around Croft racing a helicopter (he won). His car control is fantastic  , I suppose once you have it, you don't lose it, especially if you get to drive different supercars as a day job.
  12. Was it you who had the Grooved & dimpled 3G disks? Can I ask how much? Also, did you get them delivered direct from 3G? How long did it take? I need some new front discs to go with teh Poterfield pads I'm getting. Cheers Alex.
  13. Very nice - Are they 17 or 18" rims and if so waht width - looks like they fill the front arches to perfection.
  14. Overall length is 178.1" (4525mm) and overall width is 70.9" (1800mm) according to autocar. Don't think that include the mirrors though, but you can always fold them in!
  15. Cheers chaps, will have a look at the weekend.
  16. Unfortunately, as of this afternoon my passenger door does not want to open from the inside. Opens fine from outside & locks OK, so I'm thinking there is a cable of some sort which has come off or broken. Is there a cable inside connecting handle to lock, and if so how easy is it to get to? Cheers.
  17. I am aware of the 'loophole' in our MOT flowcharts with regard to emission testing Zeds, however before I bite the bullet and go for a de-cat exhaust, has anyone proven this correct by passing an MOT with a post August 1992 Z? If so, anyone ever been questioned / had dificulties with the MOT tester over it? Might as well make the most of Smithy's stronger turbo seals when I get them ;)
  18. Not for me either sorry. Looks like you have accidently reversed into the Demon Tweaks display window.
  19. Maybe the balck one you saw wasn't me then, thinking about it, I went past the business park not through Saltney, so can't have been. Lady from Saltney wasn't blond when I last saw her, but could have changed her colour I suppose! Her's has a large 'pram handle' wing, much like your own though, and I'm sure they weren't 18's on it either.
  20. Black one might have been me heading into town - were you in your Z?, I didn't notice you if you were, sorry! Red one one manor lane was for sale in autotrader a few weeks back, maybe whoever owns it has had a change of heart. There is a friendly lady owner of a big winged black jap 2+2 who lives in Slatney. Rich 666 of course, in Chester, a red jap spec 2+2. Plus I also see a gey one every now & then. I would agree, Chester seems a hot spot!
  21. Tony Did I remember reading you had a custom chip form Thor, or did they re-map an existing one you alreday had? Just wondering as I have a JWT chip but may be getting some Hybrid Tubs which could be better used with a re-mapped jobbie.
  22. hmmmm.... posted a fairly long reply to John on here and its disappeared! John you refer to it on post #15 but it's vanished!? Was this beacuse a certain someone was mentioned in it moderators? Anyway, yes, when the play was demontsrated to me, car was jacked up and wheel pulled up & down & side to side without the steering moving if you know what I mean. Basically if you can get someone else to do it whilst shining a torch up at the arm, you should be able to see the bit of play in the link (movement is not much but it only takes a bit IMO).
  23. Post how you get on John - if the lubricant quietens the upper arm I will invest in some myself until I can afford the proper kit to sort mine from the Z centre. Have to get it done sooner or later though as it's an MOT failure, and I also have the feeling that when the arm is not working corectly, the A pillars see some stress & strain that they are not designed for (I occasionally get cracking sounds from that side!)
  24. John My upper link arm doesn't always creak, at the moment it seems temperature & moisture dependant as to how bad it sounds. Just another job on a growing list for me!
  25. I have hundreds, very annoying but nothing you can do I suppose.
