  1. Legrath, how hard is it to swap the looms with the engine etc in place? From some pics I have seen it looks reasonably easy. That right? Cheers.
  2. Dont blame you, thanks.
  3. What he said...Please. Do you want to know exactly how far I lifted mine? What shape are you thinking of? I assume you wil make them out of aluminium?
  4. Dibs on the UK clocks, subject to price of course, and pretty please.
  5. I would say the problem is the garage.
  6. Thanks. They may well look great, and they do, but the chrome is coming off after less than a year. I will put some up later.
  7. Each to their own, although it does look a bit odd in the pic. But, whatever, it works. And its not irreversable. Compared to some of the snow plough bumpers, jumbo rear wings and double ugly sill extensions some people fit I dont see it being that bad.
  8. Pic as requested,I hope. Thanks Vijay
  9. Thanks. Tried but it says my email is invalid, which it isnt, so stuff them...
  10. How do I insert an image please?
  11. I am OK with the look to be honest. Would not do it on a "normal" car, but as I have played with my Z I think its fine. But it is a personal thing I agree, and my car is my personal car. Lol
  12. I heard a story by the owner of an R34 GTR who bought Denso, on recomendation of the Oilman he said, and they fell to bits and wrecked his engine. Have no idea if its true. But it put me off them...Stick to NGK and be safe I think.
  13. I will do some pics, try tommorrow, as for the water getting in, I dont think its a problem. I will let you know if I have any problems, (I dont drive it in the rain on purpose though), and the forward motion will keep it from getting in where I have lifted it I guess. As for it getting wet standing still I dont think it wil get in. I lifted it about 20mm, not a great deal. When standing still, engine running you can feel the heat pouring out of the "lift".
  14. I know not everyone likes the bonnets lifted at the rear by the hinges, but I did mine on Sunday. My car always runs with the temp gauge perfectly horizontal when nice and warm, now it runs just below horizontal. So the lift is making a usefull difference. As our cars get way too hot under the bonnet I think this is a cheap and effective thing to do.
  15. If you have low quality pads, when they get hot, as in at high speed, they can cause juddering. Sometimes a new and better pad can be the cure. Been there done that.
  16. Little bit hard to work out exactly where to measure from on the left of your image because it goes round the corner, but 525mm from the tip of the leading part of the bumper to as near as I can guess where your line ends. Is that OK?
  17. I have SWB, I can measure but not sure exactly where you want it from to.
  18. I have one of John Dixons ECU's, running 555 injectors etc. My car has NEVER suffered from det, even at 1.2 bar on a warm day, car goes really well, no flat spots etc. Recomended. :-).....
  19. Do they fit a Z32 then? If so might be worth making it a Sticky to warn people.
  20. The casting is very different too, makes B19rks comments seem unlikely to be correct. No offence.
  21. I agree, and when I said if it dosnt work, I meant if it works out too hard to achive a good result.
  22. If it was mine and I thought I could get another bush in there properly I would give it a go. The balance will hardly be affected (if at all) because the holes/damage are so close to the center. If you fix it and it doesnt work you are no worse off. And as you say, its only a guide.
  23. And you must replace them anyway to be safe when you do the pump. :-) If it was me I would replace the cam belt too as you are so close.....and taking the rad out all the way makes it easier, gives more room.
