  1. Castrol Edge, fully Synth, loads of different grades inc 10-60, cheap at Europarts.
  2. Rear wheels out of balance can cause this too.
  3. One piece props are custom made only, AFAIK. I will get the number for you if you like, I am seeing the man on Monday and may be able to do a deal if your interested in one as well as me.
  4. I have been quoted £240.00 plus vat for a brand new custom length one piece prop.
  5. Hi Steve, I will try and remember to let you know, in fact I will put a thread on here about what I think. Slightly worried about too much wheelspin in the lower gears, but looking forward to increased mid range and more responsiveness. (is that a real word?) As I only use the car for playing about in fuel consuption is not an issue. I have also fitted new aftermarket turbo elboes, de cat pipes and a Firdanza ally flywheel. So I hope it is all worth it. Next job is fitting the GTR front calipers etc and I am then done. I think, lol.
  6. I had detting on a 300 some years ago, turned out to be the exhaust silencers were partly blocked by the sound deadening from inside the silencers. The car didnt sound any different either, but when I cleaned the stuff out it was fine. just an idea
  7. Yes, thanks for that, this is what I thought, and of course my N/A prop is from a LWB. Anyone know the cost of a single piece prop? Or anyone have a N/A SWB prop laying about? Thanks again.
  8. Hi, fitted an N/A diff etc to my SWB TT, but of course the propshaft dosnt fit. I have the N/A prop, which is too long, and my shorty prop which dosnt fit the diff. Can I swap various parts over or is it an N/A shorty prop only. What is the best way forward, please anyone? Cheers
  9. Can I ask where did you get the parts from? And who balanced them. Cheers.

Well, some have said mine looks like its been shunted in the front so I guess it matches. :-)

One other thing, the SWB looks loads better too.
  12. I am swapping my TT diff/subframe for a N/A one for the lower ratio and dumping the Hicas (obviously).
  13. As above, Castrol Edge cheaper than Opie Oils (who are supposed to be good value) and thats before postage.
  14. Yes, as above, just go and and start it up, I will listen from here. Lol. On a serious note, 2 psi is no where near enough, your engine will wreck itself in just a few minutes. So if it has not wrecked itself, you have more pressure.
  15. If your oil pressure really is only 2 psi your engine will already have fallen apart.
  16. I have STERN ST2, they look good but the finish is crap and soon starts to come off. Beware.
  17. The question needs to be asked. If you need to ask these questions, should you be doing the oil change? And yes, too much oil is bad.
  18. I am sure the Health and Safety people need to get involved in this, Oh hang on, I think they allready have..... As has been said, a simple task made into an ordeal.
  19. I have 8.5 x 19 front with 9.5 x 19 rear. 235. 35. 19. and 265. 30. 19 tyres. IMHO 19's look the best, most new fast cars run 19's now (or bigger) the ride on a Z is fine too. Look at as many cars as you can to see what you fancy.
  20. All adds up, inc light weight flywheels too.
  21. A viscous fan does cost fuel. Simply put, if it blows air it takes energy to drive it. And its being driven 100% of the time.
  22. Or put an electric one on and save fuel (probably) and as they are not on all the time they can be less noisy..
