  2. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260105255217 Are these same as stock or are they uprated?
  3. Ok mate, might come up sunday for a chat etc
  4. What time you thinking?
  5. So how much we talking andy? To pull the engine, get my turbos recon'd, new down pipes, decats, pistons, gasket set, fluids etc and labour. Maybe another set of plugs as well. pm me or give me a ring
  6. Not sure what is happening to the passenger side back cylinder as only getting 80psi but the spark plug looks fine. The passenger middle one is soaked in oil but there is no oil in the coolant etc, so headgasket should be ok. I dont understand why I am not getting huge clouds of smoke out the passenger side zorst tho as I should be imo. I double checked all the passenger side to make sure wasnt the tester playing up but got the same values again the second time. Now I know why its lumpy at idle! its on 5 and a half!
  7. Right i will price up repairing and what I could get if I break it and get back to you all!
  8. Just done a compression test....... On taking the plug out of the middle right cylinder alarm bells started ringing, oil all over it. results are 145 V 80 140 V 30 140 V 135 So thats it then, now I have a desision to make, break it or fix it Im totally 50/50 at the moment I really want to get shot of it and get something simple that I will actually get some enjoyment out of, caterham perhaps. I dont see the point of having a big GT car just for the weekends when i might as well just get a proper track car. But then again I have spent so many hours on it getting it just right and it was almost there, I do enjoy shows and meets as well. what can i say - gutted, but strangely relieved :wack:
  9. So is mine lol, but i wasnt talking about the girlfriend!
  10. Yeah i probably would as well. I do find that 18 year old size 8 girls fit in the back of my 2+2 quite well tho! :x:
  11. The windows at work all have motion sensors on them, they are really anoying and go off whenever you open the window or bang on it etc. I went to fetch the Z from the other secure car park as ours is now emptying out, parked it in a reserved spot just outside the office. My boss says they are reserved for higher managment only and I will be shot for parking there. :x: I said i will move if i cant set the alarms off with my exhaust, he says ok and I'll bet you a tenner. He now owes me a tenner!
  12. there is always the boot mate! Make them walk!
  13. Yes 2 02 sensors, one just after each turbo on the downpipes
  14. i must have about 450bhp then lol
  15. i think he means 1.5, and that would be maxing out the injectors bigstyle imo
  16. 1.3 k reg fiesta - 200 quid from fleebay im looking for either a 2000+ 406 estate or laguna tourer in the next couple of weeks tho
  17. Just remembered I had a small amount of oil coming out of the dump valves, they were spraying it onto my pipes. So must have got oil going in the intake. If oil was getting past the rings into the cylinders it would be smoking all the time as the oil would be burnt right (its not)? If it was combustion gas going back into the sump due to worn rings then maybe this would cause the dip stick to pop - i get it now. Oil in the intake suggests pcv valves more likely right? As worn rings wouldnt put oil into the intake. Or am i being a mong here!
  18. yeah just had a search. 160 is good, 140, some wear / ok, below 100 = bad on a tt that is, nas will be different not looking forward to it!
  19. gonna do a compression test and if thats ok will get some new pcv valves and hoses. What should they be, about 100psi per cylinder?
  20. It could also be a rubbish after market dip stick. Can anyone lend me a tt stock one?
  21. mmm still doing it, only if i pass roughly 5k rpm tho
  22. It it was then i would have very high oil pressure right? Well the oil pressure is normal, has been there for about a year. It only went low last night due to oil loss. I warmed it up and revved it up, and seem fine now. Going to mfn later so will check it again
  23. The oil level on my car has always been just over the H mark on the dip stick. The dip stick is an after market one so i have always ignored it. The garage changed the oil when they did the clutch and they put it at the same level. Took the car out last night and gave it some stick, my oil pressure was reading slightly lower than normal on the way home. Got to the car today and there was a trail of oil drips up to where its parked. Checked the bottom of the car and there was a 6 inch pool of oil. Oh dear. Opened the bonnet and found that the dip stick and poped out and had lost oil that way. Phew! Checked the oil level and its now about 3 quarters high. Fair enough I thought. Must pay more attension to gauges! Put a tiny amount of oil back back in and pushed the stick in firmly. If it comes out again I will have to get a new dip stick I think. Would anything else cause this other than too much oil and maybe not so good rubber seals on the dip stick?
