  1. My car was imported in 2003. It has this sticker on the crankcase. link to image does this mean that the cam belt was changed at 59000k? and the 100,000k, does that indicate the next time it needs changing? If so not good as its done 106,000l! But that is only about 28,000 miles, do they really need changing that often?
  2. A red z flashed me today, was standard looking, traveling towards Ilkeston from belper on the A609 at about 5.30 today. I was in my very non standard red z going the opposite direction. Didnt get a chance to flash back as was watching my temp gauge like a hawk! Sorry!

  6. Yeah flushed the rad but cant flush the block, i'll just have to do it a few times i think till it looks more blue than brown!
  7. Ha i dissconnected the passenger side window as it was rubbish! Just checked the coolant again on my z and its still rust colour! Is there a proper way to flush the system? Thanks, Ed
  8. hey retro620ti did you used to have a 620ti by any chance? I just swapped mine for my z!
  9. I flushed my rad the other day just by pulling the bottom hose off and squirting the hose in the top of the rad. Its clean now but it filled it and bled it and the rad cap and bleed screw on the other side of the rad. Didnt know it had an expansion tank too! I'll have to check it. Thanks, Ed

  11. Sorry i have only had my z a week and i cant find this in the manual anywhere. I'm probably being stupid but what goes in here?
  12. Why do you need the engine running to fit the rev counter needle? just put it at 0 with the ignition ON. I have to move mine tomorrow as some fool it at 0 with the ignition OFF so it rises to around 1000 when igntion is turned on then over reads by the same, bugs me sooo much!
  13. OK the bulbs are fine and they are wired up so must be a prob somewhere else. Passed the mot without them tho so who cares!
  14. the fuse is fine, I'll get to the bulds when it stops raining and test them! My Sub fan rely is missing, anyone know what this is for?
  15. good point i will check the fuse first. Is it easy to find out which fuse is the fogs? I'll have a look in a few min.
  16. cheers mate i'll get them out tomorrow and have a look, i need a tail light buld so will be going to the shop anyways. The fog light button turns the front side and rear tail lights on and the fogs dont come on even when the headlights are on, side lights are still on even if the headlight switch is in the off position.with the fog light button pressed. Might just be both the buibs gone
  17. My Frong fog light switch turns on the side lights and i cant get the front fogs to work at all (just got the car) Any ideas?
  18. because it sits at 0 when ignition is off and rises too 1000 when turned on. Normally it should sit at the bottom of the clock when ignition off and then rise to 0 when turned on. (just needs moving on its sproket type thing)
  19. Hi, Just got my first zed today and I'm compiling my stuff to fix list! The dials have been changed from jap to uk spec and when the needle has been put on the rev counter the ignition was off and it was put on at zero so when the ignition is on it rises to about 1000 and over reads. How easy is it to get to the needle to move it? Secondly the tracking is out and the front tyres are showing high inner edge wear. Can the tracking be done by a normal garage? I.e is it the same as normal cars. Many thanks, more questions to come! Ed
