sorry was on a slight high and just got in. Screw the NA get this instead - looka sweet! sweet car for £3500

Fuel
well i suppose its only about 3 quid extra anyway!
-
Fuel
ok well when it gets lowish ill stick a tenner of normal fuel in see what happens, that way if it runs hot etc i can stick another 30 quid of optimax in on top.
-
Fuel
I think it would be fine in an NA but i always try and use opitmaz in my turbo cars, noticed a small performace increase in my old 620ti but that has a uk enjine not jap. I'm just wondering if its safe to use normal fuel when im skint?
-
Fuel
As i understand it jap fuel is 99RON, optimax is 97RON and premium unleaded is 95RON. As optimax is the closest you can get (without additive) to the jap fuel I always use it but I just put 30 quid in at 99.9p and it only took my fuel gauge to half! Also I just did a 150mph run up the dual carrage way so used most of it already! What are the conserquences on using 95RON unleaded in a j spec car? Anyone tried it? Will it overheat and explode?

ITs HUGE!!!
I bought mine without driving it myself! went for a blast in it with the owner and couldn't see any smoke or lights on the dash etc, temp gauge sat in the middle. When i drove it, it was all over the place and wasnt very positive to drive. Now I have changed the track rod ends and front tyres, reset all the tracking. It now goes exactly where you point it and corners well. Could have been worse tho, might have needed new suspension! If they are going to mot it, i might suggest you get it done again afterwards yourself to be sure. My car came with 7 months but i put it through again to be sure, luckerly all was straight but one of the rear tyres had some damage, so had to change them both - cost me £250, so whats £40 for an mot!? There are alos Rac car inspectors etc to consider - money well spent.

Auto tt vs NA Manual
If you want a fastish car get an NA, if you want a RAPID car get a TT! You only have to leave a turbo car running when you stop if you have been on boost a lot just before, i tend to drive off boost for the last couple of miles to allow the turbos to cool, and to get some cool oil in them. then no need to keep it running when you stop!

Auto tt vs NA Manual
ps i get well fustrated as hardly ever get to use boost as my drive to work is always in too much bloody traffic! And in the wet dont even think about using boost out of corners or you just go round in circles! Fun tho!

Auto tt vs NA Manual
I had a 200bhp rover 620ti and that (i thought) was well fast compared to my old metro turbo! I got bored of the front wheel drive 620 after a while but i dont think i could handle my 350bhp z with repect and in a safe manner if i hadnt learnt by my mistakes in the 200bhp rover first!

Cracked water bottle?
I took my 2nd attempt at flushing my coolant system today. Flushed the rad again and flushed the filler bottle now i know what its for! I was firing water into the filler bottle at pressure and watching the dirt come out of the small overflow pipe into the rad, then once it was clear i flushed the rad again. I then realised that there was loads of water going into the filler bottle but not much coming out the top! I then looked under the car and to my horror saw loads of water pouring out of the underside of the car below the water bottle! I had a feel around and i think its coming out near the top on the neck somewhere. I then thought well I must have just broke it as the car never lost water before. I then thought sod it and filled the system. Started the car and turn the heater on full. I then kept squeezing and refilling till i just got clean water and no air out of the bleed valve on the top of the rad. I let the car run for a good 20min and took my time doing this. I then sealed the rad and turned the heater down a bit, left it running another good 20min and the temp sat at a steady 155F (68c). I then turned it off and sat watching the bottom of the filler bottle. Got a few drips but they were cold (not from the main system) probably just left over spillage. I then tried to pit a bit more water in the filler and it just pissed out again, its reading high on the dip stick thing. By the speed it was coming out I would say that its not a crack and when I put just coolant in it a got just coolant leak out. So has the bottle got an over flow/breather or is it buggered (hole near the top)? I left a cat bowl underneath it so i can see how much it has leaked in the morning. Is the filler bottle pressurised? Any answers please?!
