  3. Nice, i was looking at those buckets myself
  4. maybe i got a duff one then, although i tested it with a voltmeter and it does output some voltage
  5. i got one from maplins shop i cut the fag lighter bit off and wired it direct to 12v always live my car had some charge in it but wasnt great, next morning was totally flat (never been totally dead before) Charged it up with a proper charger and it was fine. ripped it out and its been behind my sofa in a pile of junk ever since! Ps it wont work on the zed,s fag lighter socket as its not connected to the battery when the ignition switch is off And it made me late for work! lol
  6. I got one of these you can have for free. It totally drained my battery! they are rubbish!
  7. 1001hp sounds a lot but its 2 tons. so only 500bhp / ton its just a car for football players :smash: if i had that kinda cash i would get zcars to build me an ultima 1020kgs and 1000bhp - double the power to weight of the veron! http://www.zcars.org.uk
  8. interested in the camber arms, as long as you put new bushes on the stock arms that go back on should be fine, same with the tension rods. Is your car lowered by much as the adjustable arms are there to get the camber etc right after lowering.
  9. You still keep the maf which the big plug connects to, car will overfuel massivly and run in saftey mode without it connected. The only thing about the apexi or any cone type filter is make a splash guard or your maf may get wet and burn out.
  10. that was swift - nice
  11. im not opening his thread cause im at work but it sounds like a posting robot to me, get rid!
  12. 1700 for a complete engine with turbos, so you wouldn't think it would be 2500 to rebuild mine then, doesnt look like that includes the turbos either. Also the 2.5 was excluding vat and fitting.
  13. I sent an email to api asking if they have got any recon z32 tt engines and got this reply, do they think i'm stupid or what?! Dear Ed Thank you for your interest in API Engines. We do not have any of those suitable for recon at the moment so it would have to be done off your original engine. I would expect the cost to be £2495.00 for the engine work and a further £750.00 for fitting should you need it. Mostly on these cars, many ancillary components are worn out too. such as coil packs that suffer from the heat of the engine and fall apsrt in your hands. together with may of the wiring plugs and connectors. the job can turn into a nightmare in our experience and we are uanble [ obviously ] to put a figure on what may or may not need replacing on the outside of the engine until the job is under way. Then you need to consider the state of the turbos, as worn ones will jeopardise the new engine and the cost could just run away. One thing after another. We will be happy to do the job subject to your understanding of the above. If you are in the UK please add VAT [ Sales tax ] at 17.5% to all quoted prices. If you need more information or I have missed something, or you wish to place an order, please call me on the sales line above. Thanks and kind regards Martin API
  14. Acid  no really compression test it - post the results up, hope you have more luck than me!
  15. quality, hope you sprayed her with dirt
  16. stock injectors at the mo - 14 - 15psi at the very most
  17. I would be interested to see the graph. Sounds like it would actually be beneficial running auto tubs due to quicker spool time, as long as im not going to loose all my top end due to them hitting their peak too early.
  18. didnt think anyone would know lol
  19. I'm looking at buying some turbos from an auto that have only 500miles on them. I have used the search as much as possible and found that auto turbos have slightly smaller casings which mean quicker spool up but less possible power. I want to run 14-15 psi on my manual car, will the auto turbos be up to this? Anyone know the max efficency of auto vs manual turbos? difficult question if noone has compared them before i know.
  20. A club member is selling some tubs that have only done 500miles and im considering buying them for my rebuild. They are almost brand new only they are from/for an auto. Will they fit my manual and are they smaller or larger than mine? I cant remember. What effects will this have? I want to run 14-15 psi. Is this a good idea as they would cost me just a small amount less than getting mine reconned, as far as I know mine are ok but have covered 70k miles so wont be going back in as they are, could sell them on or keep as spares tho.
  21. Thats why its called fleeeeeeebay lol made in china!
