Faulty pcv's ??????
Only one thing to do then as yours sounds exactly like mine was... Compression test. http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=91773&highlight=compression http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=91499&highlight=compression If your engine is not fooked then yes the pcv's can clog and pressure up the sump. Dont sound like that tho if yours are newish.

Next time I'm down the pod I'm getting a pic of me next to the Bell End sign tho hahaha

Cheers cbr, ill try again tomorrow. i have not loosened the heater motor box so will do that, sounds like there are a couple of screws I have missed on the heater box. My aircon pump, rad etc is all gone out the engine bay and i think the hoses are just loose, I might remove these totally while I'm at it.

Master cylinder is in the engine bay, booster is on the inside of the firewall opposite the clutch master cyliner and fluid pot.

cbr337! I unbolted the big impact bar thing but my alarm control box is wired in through it so I cant take it fully out the car grrr. Is there a knack to getting the air boxes out? I cant seem to get the two big boxes out. The one to the left that sits behind the glovebox is loose and has come out about 3 inches. But its stuck there, wont come any futher. I dont want to just tug on it. I have removed the nuts from the top and two from the bottom. Also took the ones out from the main box but I think there maybe another one or two. Any pointers would but helpful! Hodgey - I'll be driving the darn thing when summer comes! :smash: The clutch booster is in the second pic above. The clutch on a zx is hydrolic not cable operated and this provides vaccum assist just like the brake booster. Only problem is that it sits on the inside of the car on the firewall, not engine bay side! pain in the ass!

ta-da! Spend about 10min trying to pull the dash upwards and checking for more screws then I pulled it forward and pop out it comes! I'll get down to removing the heater box and clutch booster now!

Ahh so the air con has a small rad in the heater box that I can remove or are you refering to the one in the engine bay in front of the engine coolant rad as that is long gone. Cheers

aircon ecu? My aircon has been removed, can i remove the ecu or will this mess up my heater controls etc? (when I have changed the matrix to provide some heat) lol

The most beautifull car ever?
Nice, but if I had 30k to spend on a car it wouldnt be a honda!

Get your dash out then lol. I got a brand new heater matrix to go in as well as mine is bypassed due to a leak.

Oh ta J1mmytt the hazard switch does just lift off!

Mine causes a large vaccum leak when connected. Pulled the pipe off it engine bay side and bunged with a bolt. No more leak but very sore left leg!

UPDATE! Connectors just take a bit of getting used to, finding it easier now. Steering wheel centre was already broken and the bottom bit had been glued on, this came off quite easy with a bit of tuging. I have removed all the bodge solder ready for new connectors to go back on. This is when you wish your car was stock with no inverters everywhere! Its never all gonna work again lol. Just gotta do the glove box and passanger side now before the dash gets lifted out, will probably pull out the front seats then too. Do you think the markings behind the gauges cluster are from the factory or has that bit been changed at some point? Oh look! A knackered clutch booster!

secondary fan
Its easy, just a case of shorting two pins with a small amount of wire when the igition is on. Then watching the dash light flashing in seqence to work out the error codes. http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/ECUdiagnostics.html

I just changed the front and rear pads on my supra, disks look fine. They were ok for the first 20 miles but now squeak like hell at low speed! I think i put the anti sqeak plates back in Oh well at least you hear me coming!

secondary fan
i think the fan comes on if the sensor is disconnected. Check your ecu for errors and get an aftermarket gauge!
