  12. Thats a bargain for this Z,you would not be dissapointed Hi5 Tony
  13. What about this,Black G reg,£12,650 http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_search.asp?modelexact=1&make=NISSAN&model=300+ZX&min_pr=9000&max_pr=15000&postcode=nn11+4ll&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&sort=3&search=SEARCH Year older than mine, simler spec,my engine around 50k,maybe i should put it up for £10,000 ;) Have noticed that modified Z prices are high at the moment, and looking around the net prices in genral for what i would deem good 300s are on the up,could be all the press/mag stuff of late pushing em up,what with the renewd interest in the 350Z,(especially as we now no that the 350 is slower :D )could be that the 300zx is turning into a classic in its own right at last. Personaly i would stay away from the one you saw Hi5,spend a little more, say £5000,take a good look at a load more too. Tony
  14. I am about 30 mins from Bicester, used to live in Waddesdon, there are some Z owners on ZClub .net from around there and Oxford area too, there may be a meet coming up soon,if you have any ideas as to a good place then feel free to add to the post on there, http://www.zclub.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1093&perpage=15&pagenumber=2 Tony ;)
  15. Yes Pete its well bad,i had to use the Z to go 2 mile to work as the old Escort would not have it(battery)just got it in garage ,then white out, unreal,in 30 mins a good 3 inches, lasted for about two hours, then stopped and froze,i went up to the local garage on foot, cars every where, standstill, sliding down small hills with all brakes full on and still sliding  There were about 20 cars at the bottom of my road, all trying to make there way to the top of the hill, total mayhem :( Tony

And i now believe, but not sure on this season, but F1 teams maybe allowed to use it(it was banned by F1 governing body some years back) ;)

ZX1 is not a oil additive, you may not see or hear any difference, but it will certainly make your internal parts reduce their friction, bare more load, and increase compression, fact ;) As for oil additives to shut the engine up ,ie noise, smoke, etc etc, maybe for a short term, but never put it in a Z,will i believe be asking for trouble! Tony.
  18. More info here, http://www.japfest.co.uk and here http://www.carmags.co.uk/index2.html includes prices etc, Tony
  19. I went last year,on the ZClub stand, long way to go for me but was a excellent day, some great track racing(especially when the Norris Designs Evo lost it on a bend and crashed into tyre wall fookin the nearside bodywork, mind you he was gunning it and taking on a load of GTRS ;) Saw some 240,260,280 Z racing at one point, and for those that like there country walks its possible to walk around the perimeter of the whole circuit, some great views, Will be going again :) Tony
  20. Thats one spanking Z James, top job mate
  21. Had detting,(lean as hell  )but well happy,much more power in there ;) Boost 10.46psi 294.9hp 272 ft/lb@4,940rpm Tony :)
  22. Hi Pete, excellent day, very pleased to of found out i have probs that could lead to major grief if not sorted, did not expect it to det at 10.5 let alone 14.5psi  ,talked to gent in office and provisionaly booked for end of feb, will ring you next week. One thing concerning the graphs, can you tell how quick the spool up is,and condition of the turbos..Tony :)
  23. Well i thought it strange as i have not detected any det for some time, deffo heard it at 14psi but no way did i hear it at 10psi,but as he said it was there slightly, maybe its the fuel regulator, maybe the JWT ecu map,but at least i know about the problem, once the fuel is there it should fookin fly, :) Tony
  24. Well after finaly getting out the bath i am now thawed out :( was that friggin cold out there or what,!)nice to meet everyone, old and new faces alike, must be an age thing but i had a kip in the office when you all went off for food/pub etc, think it was the stress not knowing if this new engine would last! :D I made 294bhp@10.46psi,with a very slight dettonation detected so run was shut off,(big thanks to the operator for knowing his stuff  )this was after a run with Boost originaly set at 14psi,bad detting, lean as hell :confused:again big thanks, glad i have not been running around with boost controller switched on since getting this engine fitted, controller been playing up since i got it back, after talking with operator i have booked it in for next month to get things sorted and fitted ,theres a lot more bhp in there ;) ,must say i was very pleased with the results,i now know more than just what bhp i am getting,i have allso got the confidence back in the engine, being the fourth one in this Z,the RR session has highlighted problems that could of resulted in more trouble,in a ideal world it would be best to do a RR when any power mod is done, but then who does that!. So whens the next RR and where, maybe G-Force, anyone ;) Tony
