New fuel pump query
Sounds like a waste of time to me Make sure your fuel pump ECU is functioning correctly it could be that its failing and causing your car to lean out under boost. Or you could have a mismatched 2 speed pump controller to a 3 speed ECU. Replacement wiring isnt needed unlese you have an upgraded or dual fuel pumps with HOBB switch etc, and none of that is necessary unless your going past 500hp

Car running with ignition off and key removed
Maybe so. The relay your describing is the relay i was suggesting you change in my previous relay to fix the issue your having. Swap it out with another one of the same colour temporarily to see if it fixes your issue and then report back.

Car running with ignition off and key removed
A customer bought me his car a few months ago with this exact issue. Engine wouldn't shut off with the key removed & he had to stall it to get it to shut off. Fixed it by changing out the ignition relay for a good one.

Should I drive my Z daily?
If your in a position to daily drive a 300.. I say enjoy it and dont look back!! I certainly don't when I'm ripping it through the gears comes ice, snow or rain... Occasionally when i get home from said drives i look on here and see posts about garaging cars because the salt gritters are out and remember how short life is and how much fun I've had!

Gio's car on Ebay.....
I remember working on a car this very same colour, a SWB with cream interior. The owner told me that colour combo with the cream interior was 1 of only 11 made. Not sure if it was true or not but if it was then this would make this car ever more rare/desirable IMO. The car i just mentioned was in great condition too. Can't see all 11 have survived..

WANTED - Late style intake cam gears
How much are you offering? I have a set of late gears & a set of service replacement gears.. wasn't particularly looking to sell them but if the price is right? They are late style but fit old camshafts. extremely rare. I also have a set of spare brand new in the box BDE late style gears with the 3rd element that i would sell, if your willing to spend what i paid for them & save on the core price.

Unorthodox Power Steering Pulley
I have 2 cars with Unorthodox pulleys, fitted no less than 5 other unorthodox pulleys to other peoples cars. Never seen a belt jumping problem. Are you using a belt with the correct amount of ribs? I Put an unorthodox pulley, a GFB pulley & a AMS pulley on a crank balancing maching to see if they were balanced perfectly. The Unorthodox was old and used the other 2 were new and the only pulley that didn't require drilling a hole in the back to get it dead on was the unorthodox, it's all just a bit of aluminium but for the reasons i have just mentioned im of the opinion unorthodox pulleys are quality units. You have a problem somewhere im sure.

Become a global forum?
Couldn't agree more with funkysi's analysis of the situation, however 300ZX cars as a whole are a dying breed as they get older and older which i can only see as a good thing as the less there are the more they will increase in value.. I think trying to expand a forum dedicated to a dying cause is not a wise decision. Just my opinion.

Stall, timing?
It HAS to be your drive pin or they are both faulty aslong as your sure the belts on OK. So look you either have 2 faulty CAS units or your pin is messed up. When you insert the sensor in the D shaped pin on the end is just to guide it onto the actual spline, Try pulling it a few MM keeping the sensor on the alignment pin but not actually on the splines, then attempt to relocate it on another pin. To check if the pin has rotated inside the camshaft - The flat part of CAS drive pin in the exhaust cam should be inline with the center of the dowel pin, with the D section being on the left side when looking at it from the front of the engine. Sounds like it may be a fuel issue, have you checked your injectors are spraying properly?

Stall, timing?
I dealt with this issue only last week.. Faulty CAS unit most likely, try a replacement unit if you've got one. I have a few spare CAS units that i have Rebuilt i could sell you one for £50 posted. If its not that then it could be damage to the exhaust camshaft drivepin, either physically damaged OR twisted in the camshaft (its only pressed in). Failing that aslong as your belt is on correctly then your heads have been milled & not compensated for and you'll never set it right As already mentioned it wont be able to set the timing properly until the engine has warmed up, you can idle at 30 degrees so find out why its dying out and go from there

Flooded & leaks fuel - Help please
A no crank situation can only be caused by a few things, verify the battery is charged & connections to the battery are on OK. My moneys on it being the starter relay http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/tech/starterrelay/starterrelay.html Check out the above link, you'll see the starter relay and where it is located behind the front drivers side wheel arch liner. Pull the smaller of the two plugs and leave the other connected then place some wire between the two terminals of the harness side of the plug that goes to the car and turn the key. Report back if it still doesent crank
