Alright guys and gals. Finally got a z32. 1991. Twin turbo manual. Very happy. It does however look a bit tired on the paint but nothing I can't sort there. Done 90000. Mechanically it's great. No smoke. Boost needle where it should be. Sounds great. New timing belt. Very happy. However. What are the tell tail signs the clutch is going?

Pictures later date as I don't know how to put them on as I am on my phone aha

Looking much better Joel :thumbup1:

Cheers Gaz. Finally the car actually looks nice haha

Looks great, brings back happy memories for me seeing a freshley kitted and painted red zed.

You could do with some clear side indicator covers though :)

The new strip arrived... had to bond it on due to the clip holes being filled in but it's done and happy about the result

Interior completed. Love the result. Hate doing stuff like this but we'll worth it. Took 2 hours and a very frustrated person XD

How did you prep the dashboard, Joel? I take it that the original grained vinyl is still underneath the new cover...?

  • Author

Yeah it is made. I had to clean it very well to get all the grease off etc... it's a pig for stuff to stick to it.

Not sure about the suede console and radio bezel but the dash is kool! You're not concerned about the console and such staying clean?

I like your ingenuity and grit to get it done however!

Well. The dash is no longer like that... if you want something done have it done properly aha. I have learnt that. I was peeling off etc so it's back to the original now. But it's something to consider in the future :)

The only way to successfully trim a dashboard in any material is to strip the original vinyl cover off completely. I've found this out the hard way!

Hello everyone.

As you may know I hit some problems with my zed... regards to loads of smoke etc.

Turns out it was the turbos.

The drivers side was that bad the turbo was seizing up under high boost.

So I sent it to outlaw customs....

Now I have my turbos back with new parts on them including 360 race bearings and gap seals

Also managed to get my hands on some white UK clocks and a original centre console. (I'm growing up)

Also managed to fix the electrical problem with the fuel pump. Now have it on a little switch in the centre console as you can see

Not finished yet as you can see but looking better day by day :)
