As you can see, mine does not have this....I have no idea what it's for and can't work out what use it has?

No, my car has always been white. Engine bay was white...or rather KH6, but without the pearl. It needed a freshen up....and I like the way they do the GTR Skylines' bay in satin black. I did it with the engine in situ. I stripped a lot of it out to do the work.

With the engine in wow bet that was a pain in the arse

If you look close it is where the loom clicks to and im sure its the gearbox loom...

Wasn't easy. Easier than removing the entire engine though! :) So glad I did it though, it looks so much neater than it did before. Nissan never painted the bays properly in these cars, they use base-coat only with no pearl midcoat or lacquer. I had the exterior painted and wanted everything to look clean and slick. No matter how much I cleaned the inner wings and everything, it never looked super-clean. When I had it painted in bianco nuvola, it didn't match at all. The plan was to get the engine bay done at a later date, but I prefer it like this. There are so many black hoses and black parts in the bay, that it looks much neater this way.

I did a tester on it....you can kinda see what it did look like.

Sure? Whilst lots of cars have had manual conversions, the two on the previous page are manual cars. Richard Smith's car is an auto and doesn't have one....

If you look just behind the bracket on the red car you can just make out the metal bit and the loom, its been a long while since I've had my engine in lol...

but my manual loom runs lower down along the top of the chassis rail and around to the drivers headlight but im sure the auto loom goes over the top...

just check if your loom runs there if not you're have something to clip the loom to and no loom...

Yes, both my manual Zeds don't have it and 2 out of my 3 auto' s had the bracket although just to add confusion, I'm sure there was no loom up that far???

Just looked at pics of your car you do have a loom running along there so maybe it is for both gearbox types,

Looks like I've re routed mine wrong but mines hidden away, so will leave it has it is lol...
