The 300zx.co.uk 25th anniversary of the Z32 celebration event......

2014 is the 25th anniversary of the Z32 - and we need to mark the occasion!!!

SO without further ado the 300zx.co.uk club, its committee, moderators and events organisers from around the country are proud to announce a special dedicated event to celebrate the milestone; that is 25 years of these fine cars!!!

On Saturday July 19th 2014 we are holding a mass get-together, in the centre of England (almost), at The Coventry Transport Museum and ALL members (with their families, friends etc.) are invited to join us there to mark the event!!! Bring your 300zx and park it with pride on Millennium Place - right outside the museum for the duration. Entry is free........

http://www.transport-museum.com/

There are of course some minor rules though, what with this being a very public venue.... The museum requests that drip mats or trays are used if necessary (you must provide your own) to minimise the risk of oil contaminating Millennium Place; and cars are free to be displayed between the hours of 10am and 4.30pm; in fact we must all vacate the area by 4.30. Also, whilst everyone is welcome to join us, please be advised that the display on Millennium Place is restricted to 300zxs (and 240zs if we get any takers from the Zclub) ONLY. If you do arrive in any car other than your 300zx, regrettably you will have to park in any one of the public car parks near the museum. Apparently there is a car park adjacent to the museum which costs £3 at the weekend...

We all hope to see you there - and, so that we can gauge the number of visitors, please register your interest in the thread below!!

We will confirm those definitely attending nearer the time; as we will need to take car registrations of those wanting to exhibit on Millennium Place. Due to public liability insurance implications, attendees will have to be "checked off" on a pre-prepared list; so please do not leave it until the day of the celebrations and hope to turn up and be permitted vehicle access to the event!!

Thank you!!

Richard

In addition to the main celebrations, I am also pleased to announce 2 unofficial events, not being run by the club, but nonetheless falling over the same weekend; which members attending the 25th celebrations might also wish to join in with.....

Firstly on the night of Saturday 19th July, our very own joint REO for the NW region (Dicky96) has very kindly offered to host a BBQ at his house in Stoke on Trent!! (Top man - cheers Rich:thumbup:) So those wishing to continue the celebrations might head off in convoy from Coventry after 4.30 - I will leave Dicky96 to organise that separately as necessary......

And then on Sunday 20th July, there is the Beaumanor Hall Classic Car Show, Woodhouse, Leicestershire which attracts about 500 exhibitors; and has the Hall, Gardens and Craft Fair as well as the car show itself to enjoy.....

Again, I will leave Dicky96 to announce the separate arrangements for those folks wishing to attend that on the Sunday, in due course......

To answer a few questions

Access to the Coventry Museum Transport is 100% free (though it is a charitable trust and maybe we should try to raise a few quid for them as a thankyou?)

And (sorry Richard) here is a better link to where we are exhibiting http://www.transport-museum.com/visiting/CarClubs.aspx

Regards the BBQ party (which is not gonna be quite what you expect!) and few other things not yet mentioned (like a big convoy up the almost empty (at weekends) M6 Toll road after the Coventry Museum to the BBQ - and we should make sure we get some video done of that!!

And then onto the run down the also quite empty A50 dual carraigeway on Sunday for anyone with enough stamina (and no serious hangover) plus through the tunnel at Meir to make some serious noise and on to Beaumanor.....!!! Anyone wanting to make a whole weekend of this will not be dissapointed!

Rich

oh ps - put me on the list for both days

I will probably have to get some accommodation sorted so i can go onto Dicky's BBQ and the other event

Yeah there is lots of cheap hotels here (some hotels like Premiere Inn are only 2 miles from me and as they are next to Stoke City Brittania Stadium they are very cheap in the closed season) More info on this over the weekend. But to cut a long story short there will be a lot of cheap accommodation, and even cheaper if I can get a group booking arranged

Rich

Oh this is just rubish

There are only 3 weekends this year where i have to work and can no way get out of it

Japfest

Lakes

And this one

I'm interested but no 300 to show

Still more than welcome.

As Rich says, there is a public car park next to the museum. I'm told by museum staff that it costs £3 per day.

Keep the names coming we want to make this the UK's most prestigious event in celebrating the 25th year of the z32 300zx. We hope to have on site the media team from Pistonheads who have been contacted and are keen to feature the z32 plus other Jap magazines have been contacted and we hope to hear back from them. So dont miss out on this unique event on this years calender as our next one will be when the z32 is 50 years old :wheelchair: So please support us in celebrating with other Z enthusiast's from all over the UK. So in the words of Jean luc Picard
