  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

So what does that make my 400hp Z at now then with the hp per tonne vs 09 GTR :whistling: And I bet a lot of people thought I was talking out of my hoop when I mentioned about it a while back, I stayed up with the GTR convoy on are way to Japfeast

And i Still got loads more weight to come out! I reckon I'll be getting it under 1400 kg... I will post up a picture again soon With another weighing.

Mid range at that vs a stock GT-R it doesn’t surprise me. I kept up with one some time back, it was definitely pulling away though. That said, I’ve had a go with one from a low speed roll and it absolutely destroyed me. It’s worth remembering they are just, if not more tunable than a Z32, plenty of 600+hp ones about and your not keeping up with that let alone the heavily modified ones... different league.

I FINALLY fitted the new glove box mechanism to my Z. During the lakes drive this year, my glove box broke meaning I couldn't close it.

Massive thanks to Bones28 for supplying me a spare glove box that I could swap the mechanism over from!

I sat quietly swearing at an unknown driver of a white car that disappeared

And my photo's the wrong way up

Also, I swapped over my seats to a perfect set of S2 from the leather. Just need to run some power over to the passenger side as these are both electric. The interior is pretty much done now!

Next job is to figure out where my Power steering is leaking from. A quick look today and I'm thinking the pipe on the picture below. I'll need to get some more time on another dry day to confirm it though.

Isn't that just a bumper bracket? Can buy them new.

I don’t recall seeing that clip on either side of my bumper during my strip down. Where does it go Andrew, any pictures of it fitted would be helpful?

So I think I might have worked out where these clips go. On the attached picture of my bumper and bracket there is a screw holding the bumper to the bracket. Is this where the clip should fit so the bumper pushes onto the bracket?

Ha, it's never just those parts, I've over $7k now in the basket. Maybe wait until after brexit when we finally get a trade deal with our former colony ;)

Nice one Dave. What are you doing with the velour seats?

Those are the ones I've just fitted. I had the leather in it before

Hi Andrew

May as well do both sides, how many clips should there be in total?

Cheers - Peter

I really liked the velour. They're more comfy than the leather, don't creak and don't pan-fry your thighs in summer.
