Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Personally I think the Rotas looked great. Should sell well those.

Cheers gaz.. thought i was having more eye problems whilst looking at mine lol.

Mine got splattered in the usual Brighton and Hove seagull sh*t so I gave her a good wash yesterday and applied another coat of wax. All external mouldings retreated as they started to get a bit dry.

Afterwards when the weather made its mind up about not raining, I went out for a motorway blast to run in the new clutch and flywheel. The clutch is getting better by the journey. Done about 200 miles now since install last Monday.

A few pics of her all cleaned up...

Whilst I'm a fair few miles form the coast (about as far inland as one can be in the UK, almost), I reckon a run down to the Sussex coast is long overdue.... Might have to get a few more of us Home Counties dwellers down for a sea-side meet.....:classic_cool:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yep let’s do it! Where are you based? Let’s see who else is out there and sort something for when things cool off and the weather warms up.

Wouldn't be worth it as there isn't enough revenue or zeds in the UK.

funny you should say that because i was actually talking to czp about a franchise here to cover europe and the uk..

Pretty sure that it would be a good move because a lot of people dont order from the usa because of the shipping and duty costs..

Businesses get a different rate if its goods to sell, so they may look in to it..

Also remember its also all Zs they cover plus infiniti models.. theres plenty of those around the uk and Europe

Sat around bored so decided to do a little job on the Z.

Been meaning to change the badging, so went for it today.

When i removed the metal Fairlady Z badges from the perspex strip, there was a ton of foamy sticky crud under it which peeled off the badges.

So bust out the autoglym tar and varnish remover with a fair amount of worry as to wether it would damage the perspex. I used something similar on the old rear lights and it crazed everywhere spreading the classic creeping cracks!

Anyhow, glad to report that this stuff didnt damage it and it worked a treat!

20200607_132328.thumb.jpg.18fb4dac79803ab1d7cf51e4cc6b3f85.jpg

Topped off with some autoglym glass polish to remove the mild bleaching effect of the sun and it came up perfect again and ready for the oem logo to be fitted.20200607_132152.thumb.jpg.ebc02a3281aa32c93c80adec18c5ca86.jpg20200607_132141.thumb.jpg.ef81f8958ce925d5629d0118258e65fe.jpg

Applied the new oem decal and looks much cleaner now. So happy days!

The next job for the girls backside is gonna take a while, but im sure it'll meet the approval of a fair few on here..

All will be revealed when its done

Yeah sounds good to me. Roads around the area are decent early morning. Let’s see what the others are up for

Let us know what they say because it would be great to save costs. They’re such a great company as they supply pretty much everything you would ever need.

There’s also the Nissan S body and skyline guys who take Z32 bits like Maf’s and brakes to add to the customer base. Obviously it’s not as high demand as the USA for the Z32 specifically, but yeah as you say there’s a lot of the other Zed models around - tonnes of 350’s and 370’s in my area.

im actually thinking of taking on the franchise myself.

If all is worked out and its a viable business, then I'll change my job from underpaid and under appreciated truck driver to playing with Z parts all day..

Happy as a ? in ?  with that result. Lol

Haha I can imagine! Any of us would be super happy taking on this job. Well keep us all updated and also let us know if you need any feedback or input etc. [emoji1417]
