  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

  • These parts turned up from Specialty-Z today. Last significant items for the "bolt on" build. I'll post some more pictures of all the stuff I have collected over the years (literally!) in the "Project

  • Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Where did you order them from Si, as i was told RHD spec were no longer available thats why i refurbed mine.

I was thinking of buying left hand versions and changing the mask over but didnt really want to break the new seals.

They have not been available for YEARS! I knew an owner who bought one of the last new RHD headlights and kept them boxed in his loft ever since. I had been persuading him to sell them to me for about 6 years and eventually he gave in!

I've refurbished a few sets and you can clean them up, but you can't really clean the reflectors as they mark very easily. Also the plastic trim fades and gets attacked by the elements. New ones (in person) just look so crisp! :)

Changed oil today on the zed because id not done it since christmas, then whilst under the car i waxoil all the underneath, now looking like new again.

Spent some time cleaning, draining, painting and preparing the new Auto transmission for it's imminent implant into my Z.......

I got soooooo carried away I even painted the casting marks in black to stand out against the silver finish of the box.......

Rewrapped the wiring harness and all wiring, checked connections.......

Ready to go now... I just need to get gasket, oil seals and clean out the filter before fitting.....

Watching my Z disintegrate on my driveway!!!

The amount of effort you put into that old slushbox, you could have gone manual! In all seriousness though, well done for not just throwing something dirty on in a hurry.

That auto box looks so good Russ I could make it into a glass coffee table for my house

Thanks guy's, had enough of rushing to get her on the road and now taking time to strip and clean everything I do......

Going to try to strip diff, plate between the engine and gearbox, starter, wiring, etc. and paint and clean them all before I reinstall......

Plus going to underseal above the box and diff while it is all out....

Ah Joel!! Did you put the missus to work washing the car or watering the garden!!

Or is she having to tidy up after you again!!:nono::nono::tongue::tongue:

Dropped off the Plenum, water pipes and rocker covers for powdercoating. Should have them back next week

Well, today I ordered my new thatcham clifford alarm to be fitted Friday.. Received my japspeed short shifter and a dress up kit for the engine cover (going to fit now) also paid and ordered my new rims! Gonna look gorgeous on my mint red girl! Had to scrimp on the rubber a little so went for nankang boots but ive been advised they're a good mid range tyre.. Any opinions on them? Screenshot_2015-07-14-14-12-13~2.jpg

I'm looking forward to getting all the goodies on her and taking some nice photos for the gallery..

She's a stunner, although I know there's some disagreement about the nostrils she has.. Lol

The 99 spec bumper is coming on nicely, Keith has lavished it with new coats of pearl white paint.

Is that a genuine one? Looks genuine...

Took one out today for it's first proper drive since all the work. Was out for about two and half hours...love it.
