  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

Went into the Garage and opened the drivers door, slowly lowered myself into the drivers seat and closed the door with a nice reasuring "zed clunk"...turned the key to be greeted with the nice futuristic sound of the fuel lines being pressurised and just sat there listening to the heavy rain on the roof of the garage....At this split second and without any form of regret or remorse i was willing to erase 4 months off my lifetime and bump myself up to April just so i was able to drive the Bastarrd!!!!!!! But no...i turned off the ignition and got out the car and made my way to my coffee and Lambert&Butlers safe in the Thinking the car will still be mine In April to drive and ive lived 4 months longer which at almost 53 is a very nice feeling indeed :D

Fixed my leaky fuel pipes under the throttle cover...

PITA is a frikkin understatement!!!

She's running a lot smoother now obviously lol

Drained running in oil,

Changed oil filter,

Magnetic sump plug and filled with 10w/40 semi.

Going to flush for 100 miles then change to fully synth.

Took all the rear interior out of my Z to remove all the old sub wiring. Moved it all to the front, removed the 2 meter long RCA lead, refitted interior! Bye bye last of the sub stuff - my boot can return to a state of normality and I can now go about beefing up my front speakers! :)

Well done Si, subs are for Saxos.

Indeed. No disrespect to anyone that has them, but I always got embarrassed having a HUGE speaker sat in one corner of my boot whenever I opened it to load it and covered it with a coat when I was on the ferry to St.Malo last year before going to my cabin, not because I was worried it would get pinched, but because I didn't want to be seen as having one in my car! I know sod-all about car audio and at the time figured it was the only way to make my system sound any good and to all intents and purposes, it gave me some nice bass, but the rest still sounded like turd!

I don't want or need thumping bass, I just want what my Leon sounds like, nice, crisp and clear with good mid-range and fairly loud when you crank it up. I don't want or need number plate rattling bass, or burst ear drums or even to attend sound-offs! My aim is to make the 4 speaker system sound GOOD! Thanks to AndrewG, I have a really neat looking little amp that will hopefully give my speakers some more depth and a little more volume!

Exactly that mate. I think you just get to an age where a pair of Nike air maxes make you feel a bit...you know? I don't wear shoes shoes ever, but I wouldn't be without a comfy pair off DC's or a well worn in pair of gortex ankle boots, or is that my hill billy side kicking in? Ah haha

No I wouldn't know as I've NEVER owned a pair of Nike Air Max in my life, nor would I wish to. I have also never owned a tracksuit (sports gear for gym, but that's it), a burberry baseball cap, anything made by Kappa or medallion rings....but I get what you mean! lol :)

Currently doing the timing belt and waiting for some parts on mine, so whilst im waiting with help from a friend today I went about doing the air vacuum pipe's with silicone hoses. So from this-

to this-

quite fiddly work but will be worth it !

My job for the morrow! Fit AndrewG's nice little amp; looking forward to seeing how it'll make it all sound! :)
