  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Haha, I'll probably add a picture to the original thread of it all finished later . I dont mind having a go at doing yours ian. Wait until you see it up close though. Much better than the tweed.

Are you keeping her now Ian or just doing her up to sell?

I had it all lined up to sell buddy, but I went over to kjz32 and saw her sitting there looking brilliant, I couldn't bring myself to do it, it is such a nice early example, I don't think I would ever find another one in the condition mine is in for the kind of price I paid for her, touch wood I have had her 3 years, and had to spend very little on her (thanks again to Keith).

So decided to keep it buddy, but honestly I was going to sell......lol, as you can see putting in a new interior, and have a nice set of 19" alloys to go on. Did you get the ignition ring done buddy, I am sorry I didn't mention with the clocks.

That's it Gary, Keith said that too buddy. It is in great condition and as you say they are very hard to find. It has only done 44,000 miles as well, so very low for her age of 24 years this year.....lol.

Almost finished all the interior is now in and with all the sound proofing it's a better build quality than a BMW and the door sounds better than a golf lol

not such a productive day on my zed today, spent most of the day swearing and sulking, as it made changing its header an all day job, (id even loosen the old headers off yesterday) and its still not quite ready for a test drive....:blushing:

guess there goes the whole long weekend...:headvswal lol.

After finishing building a Bat Mobile , I painted some Z parts. I also zinc painted my brake pipes and fuel lines, so many fuel lines...

Then I jet washed the engine bay and the rear undercarriage, I then applies some zinc paint. My under-seal is still with Royal Mail.

Nice work Keith. What did you use to clean it?

Thanks Tom, I used a similar product to gunk, one of my suppliers had a sale on so thought I'd try it, works well. Power washed it off, then blow dry, bit like a hairdo lol

not that i've had one for a while. Then a spray and polish with a non silicone dressing.

Looks fantastic Keith, you better try on mine to make sure it definitely works properly and wasn't just a one off......:whistling::lol::winkiss:

Door cards fitted. Sprayed my wing mirrors black and refitted them. Also resprayed the scuttle panels. Took off the windscreen wiper arms to respray them but ran out of paint.

fitted new engine mounts

Adjusted / reseated boost pipes

Filled the system with anti/water

and noticed i have a little bit of play on the steering track arm

so thats another job todo

Refitted Ian's (300zx_666) interior and recent wheels, quick check on the ramp next week then Mot
