Hey, So I'm looking for a Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) Gasket. I saw this - https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-oem-aac-idle-air-control-valve-iacv-valve-gasket-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-23785-40f00_p_2028.php I've taken a picture of the plenum and I know the shape of it, but I've seen variations, one with two sides (so two holes separated by a thin strip in the middle), another with one side blocked off (so no hole in one side of the gasket) and the final one which was just a general big hole (the link above). Can anyone tell me which one I need, and the cheapest place to buy one? Cheers!

hi guys just after a little advice, i picked up a nice series 2 suede interior panels today, the only issue i can see with them is the rear 1/4 panels the front & top of the raised part the suede has come away from the panel, is it possible to gently pull the suede off these and re-glue them down? having never removed the suede before i don't know if there is any foam under the suede. or the best type of glue to do them.

I have had a 300ZX since 2001 (UK Twin Turbo), now has 142,000 miles on the clock, took it in for service and MOT but at the same time asked garage to look at issues with Turbos, service and MOT fine (I think) but couldn't sort out Turbo problem but they recommended a tuning company that could. Taking the car home I noticed the car now sounds like a sewing machine, always had slightly noisy lifters but now awful. Took car to tuning company and now they and original garage are having an oil argument. Synthetic oil - 10w30 was used for the service but tuning company reckon they should have used semi synthetic, I have looked back on my service records and can see in 200…

Hi all, My hicas light keeps coming on after a few miles of motorway driving. It doesn't come on for country roads or round town. Any ideas? I've topped up my fluid so it's not that, also it feels fine and it's not twitching round corners etc. Could it something like the Hicas ECU? Cheers

If you are ever in Belgium with time to spare have a look round this garage. They have some great classic cars for sale plus these two 300zx's. The first is a rare Datsun 300zx SWB 50th anniversary with the ultra rare digital clocks and the "body sonic" option which made the seat vibrate to the music!!http://www.gem-classic-cars.com/classic-cars/1984-datsun-300zx-swb-50th-anniversary-19000-miles The second is a low mileage white swb n/a with a red interior and I mean nearly every thing is red.http://www.gem-classic-cars.com/classic-cars/1991-nissan-300zx-swb-32000-miles

Nice SWB for sale and could be a great project if the money is right. Yes a N/A auto with a body kit but still it could be worth a look if you live near it. Richie you have one so dont open lol http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-Fairlady-300ZX-Z32-SWB-TARGA-SILVER-/282476461859?hash=item41c4e8bf23:g:PXYAAOSwSypY~5t9

So, I'll probably regret this but what the hey!! Just home from a 600 km round trip to go fetch this:innocent::whistling: 1989 Factory manual TT SWB!! It's missing a few bits and has some rust, also has a "Noddy and Big Ears" themed engine bay:scared::thumbdown: Was running before it had its gearbox, diff, drive shafts, brakes and exhaust stripped off it:whistling: Needs a bonnet, new trims, and some paint and bodywork, but it'll be a work in progress. Have to wait and see how I get on, figured I have a fair few spare bits from the other car lying around, so might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb!! :thumbup1:probably strug…

Hi all, Refurbing the ol' fuel tank and the small vac line was very weak. Upon wire brushing I noticed a small hole, and hey presto it's now off. Am I right in saying this is the vac line for the carbon canister? Can't find much from googling. I'm wondering what the fuel (pun intended) purpose of this is/what it'd affect, and then.. how would I repair it? I can see roughly where it goes, and will be taking the fuel pump off regardless to get better access. Is it easy to route a new pipe in and secure it or will I need to weld it? Cheers!

I am having my Aircon charged tomorrow. However I do not have my inlet rubber intake pipes fitted. Will my car tick over whilst the Aircon is charged without them in place? Car won't be on the road until June so obviously they will be refitted by then.

Hi guys, My Z has a touch of rust around so I'm looking at getting a complete respray. Anyone know which are the best body shops around the midlands to get this done? The rust isn't too severe but the silver is looking a bit aged so I'm thinking it's probably best just to give it a respray, it'll be in the same colour. Anyone know approx how much I should be paying for it also? Cheers!

:punk:Woke up this morning to find out I've won a Big Brembo Brake Kit!!!:punk:. Entered a raffle Stateside for a 6 piston Porsche brake kit, includes refurbed Brembo 17z Porsche calipers to be powder coated in a colour of my choice:innocent:, decals, stainless brake lines, adapter brackets and mounting hardware!! To say I'm chuffed to bits is an understatement  I now have three different sets of 6 piston front calipers for the 300zx!! Question now is, do I sell my two front setups along with my rears and go for a complete custom colour, continue on as I am and sell the others, or sell them on in the US as I would still have to cover ship…

Not of YouPorn variety Can someone do me a favour and take a picture of the screws that hold the rear numberplate illumination bracket to the rear bumper. One of mine has gone walkies and none of my spares Nissan screws seem to either look right or have the correct thread pitch. Cheers all Nick

hi guys i currently have a hks evc 1 fitted to the zed, it was on the car when i bought it so i would imagine the car has been chipped, but i don't know for sure. anyway i don't like the way the solenoid has been fitted under the bonnet (bolted to the one front strut stud) or the extra pipework under the bonnet if i wanted to remove it i guess the pipes coming from the turbo's would just need to be re-connected at the front of the car by the intake pipes? (where the other pipes to the boost solenoid are connected at the moment) the controller has only ever been set to low boost and i haven't had any running issues, am i likely to have any problems if i just remove t…

I'm toying with ideas, mainly because I'm bored, but probably picking up an old BMW touring ( drift daily toy) to replace my ruined mondeo, and it's got a good tow bar on it, now I've been struggling with the concept of driving the noisy, thirsty, violent ( list goes on) slicktop to events, so I've hatched a plan, now my license prevents me towing anything with a train weight over 3.5t, the BMW is about 1.5t and can tow a further 1.7t, so pretty much rules out any trailers, but then I saw a camper towing something with an a frame, So wiring the car so it's lights work with the BMW would be easy, rigging up a 12v vacuum pump and cable brake would be easy too, so bra…

This is embarrassing, after replacing all of my brake lines on the car, I had one line that I spent an age trying get the new flare and 10mm nut to seal properly. I must have made up to 4 lines in total before finally today the little barsteward stopped weeping. The weep was so small you would only know it was leaking if you rammed a blue cloth tight up against the pipe and the back of the nut, and when you removed it the cloth would be a slightly darker blue. Anyway checking the nipples on the ABS unit I discovered I had a similar leak. So small that it only noticed after mashing he brake pedal 5-10 times and again hold a rage against the underside of the nippl…
