Anyone have experience of these all rubber bushes? Or should I stick to the Whitelines from Z1? or maybe even a better option out there..? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hardrace-Rear-Subframe-Bush-Hardened-Rubber-Nissan-Silvia-S13-S14-S15-300ZX-/222493021576?epid=827016466&hash=item33cd9e1588:g:D9YAAOSw-3FZBnyf Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

Hi, had some weird noises from rear wheel. Took disc off and bits of metal fell out. Looks like one of the spring clips that holds the shoes steady has disintegrated. kimd of hard to explain but there's one per shoe, it looks like it holds the shoe against the hub. It's a pin about 1 inch long with a slot for a flathead screwdriver on top and a spring around the outside. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? Cheers

My Zed arrived off the boat from Japan with a mysterious black box in the drivers footwell. Turns out it's a turbo timer, which is something I'll never use as I always idle for a minute or two before turning off and there's no way I'd leave the car unattended with the engine on. I got a Thatcham immobiliser fitted on import so I don't even know if it can work as the fuel pump should be cut out when that engages. Is there an easy way to remove the thing? I haven't investigated all the wiring behind it so I have no idea what it connects to. Thanks

What on earth is happening in the car scene of late, ricers everywhere youtube , facebook you name it, all showing their latest drift skill and stick on bits from Halfords !! But there is a worrying development and that is z32 seem fail play now, no more messing with Honda Civics and Scoobies lets get a zed and crucify it with stick on gash products and lairy paint work whilst doing nothing decent like cambelt or oil change. There is as serious conversation right now on facebook about how to get the longest flames out of their 300zx exhaust, drilling the back box and fitting a spark plug wired to fire up the overun /unburnt fuel ?? WTH hell is wrong wi…

Hello everyone, been a bit absent from the forum for quite some time now. Life's been a bit tough since last year and trying to restore some normality. My Z hasn't moved since probably November? But I'm working through a list of jobs and want it to be ready to bring to Coventry! Hope everyone is well. Looking forward to a catch up with the forum and members! :)

I need some hoses to attach the auto oil cooler hard lines to the rad. Seems the OEM hoses are unavailable now, is there a reason I can't use generic oil hose for this? Something like this https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/rubber-oil-hose-10mm-3-8-inch-inside-diameter-per-1-2-metre-m-rh-6 Does anyone know what size I need? I don't have access to the car during the week at the moment so can't check.

is it normal for the radiator fan to to sound like a bus? only dose it in hot weather so assuming its just the viscous locking up second would be, while cleaning leaves and other rubbish out of my air box i noticed how hot the wires for the fan had become, enough to be almost uncomfortable to hold and discolored the connector. worth taking it apart for a clean? many thanks Jay

hi guys looking for advice, i'm looking for an exhaust to go on the zed but not sure what to go for, it will be stainless still obviously but i currently have a powerflow system, 2.5" all the way through including front pipes, no x/h pipe and 2 rear silencers only anyway the result is it's bloody loud! it only really gets quiet above 60mph i'm looking for something a little more subtle/ closer to stock bearing in mind i the car is mapped (originally in japan) and i'm running an apexi cone filter apart from that everything else is stock i know nothing about exhausts so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, and i forgot to mention it's a 1991 t/t

I started the rather unusual task today of putting an auto gearbox into a zed that was originally an auto but had a manual conversion. I removed the manual pilot bush and was left with this. It seems to be the right size for the auto shaft, but is this the correct set up? I ordered an auto bush from CZP but as you can see it doesn't seem to for anywhere! Seems to be the same internal diameter as whatever is on the crank at the moment, and fits on the torque converter shaft. Oddly CZP and Z1 seem to have different part numbers for this bush. So am I missing something?!?

Hi this is dels wife I've kinda managed to get into his account (oops) anyways I thought I'd post as my husband has just sent me a text a very strange one at that so after a little call I'm a bit unsure so thought I'd post on here see what others think. My husband crashed his car about 5 years ago and within that time the aim was to rebuild and make it his own however we had 2 beautiful kids in that time and between money and time he has been on and off with it. We got into it a while ago thinking yes were gonna get stuck in its been rebuilt to a point that we have a few things the car is going to need such as front bumper and sills, air filter, both front and b…

Hi dude. I have a Momo Millenium Evo steering wheel but I don't have the horn. So I bought one. Anyway, I don't seem to be able to get it to work so I'm after a bit of help. The car has HICAS and I'm pretty sure it's the correct HIcAS boss. There's 1 wire that's connected to the boss that I believe connects to the horn button, the button then grounds itself on the wheel. I'm assuming what's going wrong is the the boss is not touching whatever it needs to to send power to the button. Can anyone tell me what needs to connect or touch what to get it working please? Or tell me if I'm missing a component. Here's some photos of the wheel:

Hi everyone, I haven't posted since last year as the next post was to be number 10K so wanted to make a thread. Anyway, felt it was time to make a return. Most of you are probably on Facebook anyway so may have seen me on there. Anyway, a bit of an update. Black Zed Following the knock it had, I put everything back together but made the choice to buy a new shell as it felt like the all round best, and safest option. The welding it needed meant the engine would have had to come out etc anyway. So I bought a very low mileage car which many will know as NED the ZED. Note the name won't be sticking!!! The car only has like 54k miles on it. Rust free etc…

So I followed this - http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html I tested the sensor side of the connector and my meter showed '1', which was the default display on my meter when selecting the ohm settings. There was no movement, nothing, as if I wasn't testing anything. Doing the same ECU side of the connector, I was getting 560 Ohm, which I believe is ok, what I should be getting. Then I stuck a 1k resistor in the ECU side of my connector, I started her up and lo and behold she ran far better, revved without stumbling or miss-firing, super smooth compared to before! However below 1000rpm wasn't good, without providing gas th…

I've inadvertently mis-threaded a spark plug, thought it was in further than it was :censored: How do I recover from this act of stupidity? It is only the top two threads - I think. That'll teach me to be more careful!

My silver tt has developed quite a coolant leak following a spirited drive. It seems to be coming from the underside of the plenum at the left hand side at the back corner. I can see a rubber hose which appears to be the place where the leak is coming from. The question is, do I need to remove the plenum to change it?
