On Monday my local garage MOT'd my Zed, replaced the front brake discs and pads, plus an oil service - so with a fresh Nissan filter and a sump filled with Shell's finest, my Zed is all ready for the New Year...... .......So as today is Julia's birthday - and the sun was shining - we took the Zed on a little trip to Waterperry, near Oxford. It was nice to blow the cobwebs out on the M40 there - and ease in the new brakes on the country lanes, on the way home 🙂

Morning Forumites/Zeddites/All (delete as applicable), Am working on something "new" as my previous project did not "pan out". Without giving too much away, what would the recommendations (products and workshops) for undersealing be? Seeing as post 95 models don't have any, I wondered what others had done to address this issue and what they had found by doing so. Virtual coffees supplied for helpful comments! Thanks, PhilD

Hi all, New here. I recently moved back to Ireland with my family and shipped over my '90 Z as well. Have owned it for over 20+ years and just couldn't part with it. It finally arrived after several weeks of travel. I'm hoping to get a grasp of what I need to get done and in what order so I can take this thing on the road. First, I know I have to sort out VRT as soon as I get some papers in the post. However, I understand that it will need to have an NCT, and get insurance. So several questions, Any recommendations for classic car insurance here for Dublin county? Clean driving record, car won't be driven much except for a treat ever…

Here we are at the end of the 2023 show "season" and the club has once again completed another successful display at the NEC Classic Motor Show over the weekend. On behalf of the club and committee, I would like to thank Andrew, Ian, Joel and Tom for exhibiting their cars - and for manning the stand all weekend. Thanks too, to Lee (the committee's very own JaiKai) for coming down from Troon to man the stand as well. And a very special thanks to Ian, not just for exhibiting his blue convertible, but for providing (again) the stand structure, carpets, lighting etc., that made our display stand out from the crowds in hall 4. Thank you all very much, gentl…

Here we are, once again, at the NEC for the 2023 Classic Motor Show. Ian and Tom did a great job yesterday evening, setting up our stand ready for today. And then Joel and Andrew arrived in their Zeds this morning, to make the full set of four - a nice balanced two red and two blue display. Thanks guys - you're doing the club proud.... Please do come along to visit us - here's a little taster from set-up day today - the show runs from Friday to Sunday; details here: NEC 2023 Classic Motor Show - members discount code - General Discussions - 300ZX Related - 300ZX Owners Club (300zx-owners.club)

Driving home from work today, every time I touched the brake pedal the hicas light came on. At first I thought low fluid and momentum, but it was definantly the electrical connection. In addition my dash lights dimmed as well, also quite often the aftermarket gauges would reboot (fed from stereo ign power and Lx) and a couple of times the stereo rebooted too. I got almost home, literally as reversing on to my drive all electrics cut out, like totally (even the electric ariel didn't go down) and stayed dead. After about 10 minutes of manouvering it by hand (steering is so heavy when off) back on to the road (so I can use other car tommorow) it just all came bac…

After a few successful shows this summer, we still have the season finale at the NEC in November - and from the AGM in June through to Stonham Barns last month, we now have our 4 exhibitors and we have provisionally organised our display. All we need now is the attendance of our members to visit the stand - and as with previous years, we are able to publish a discount code to all subscribed members. Please see the thread in our premium members section - sorry, we are prohibited to share this in the public forums..... We look forward to seeing you there between the 10th and 12th November! I have been working on a replacement end cap for the quarter window moldings for our cars. The ends of these moldings are covered by the weather stripping of the quarter window originally but these are sometimes torn and missing (as mine were), especially when the moldings have been removed, either for replacement with Kuruma Z items or when someone is refinishing their OEM moldings. This means you are left with a pretty ugly looking end of the trim and quite a large gap to the hatch, with a cut angle on the end of the molding which does not follow the angle of the hatch lid either. My design covers the cut of the molding, fills most of the space back to the hatch lid and…
