Hi everyone, Connected the battery and alarm is going off constantly, cut the cable to the siren for obvious reasons, stripped the wires and put meter on them. There is 12 volts to the siren no matter what i do with the fob, have tried locking/unlocking doors with the key also, even when the car is running i have 12 volts still to the siren. Has anyone else had this problem?

please Join me in saying HUGE thanks to (300zx_666), and How much I hate the AA. 1 Ian went to see the a Z for me in Liverpool whilst I was still in Heathrow, Saved me time and of course Money. 2. Broke a deal with the seller better than I could have. 3) I went to collect the Z and whilst I was there he gave me his alloy so I could get home as one tyre was under the legal limit. 4) couldn’t get the z to start as the previous owner was there and I didn’t know how to start it due to a complex immobilser system, and no recovery company could help me out, when on did finally tuned up they said they couldn’t take the z to London for me as no tax was displayed. 5…

I'm quite lucky to have a few abandoned runways near where I live, and a few hugely long private roads (not a joke here, I could even googlemap them!) so like to indulge in the odd bit of high-speed tomfoolery. I've noticed a problem recently though, the car used to feel stable up to 170+mph, now at 145-150mph the cars gets quite unstable, if feels like the front becomes very light, what could be the reason for this? The only changes I've made are switching from FK452 245 front, 275 rear to Nankang (sorry, but money was tight) 235/255 rear. I also changed the front bumper from the pre-facelift to the post-facelift, and removed the rear spoiler. I'm going to assume it's…

I'm from Canada and I've got a Japanese imported 1992 300zx twin-turbo fairlady. No local garages want to work on my car because it's a right-hand drive. I have a coolant leak which I believe is coming from one of the coolant hoses going to the firewall to the heater core. Does anyone have any idea how I might get to these hoses to replace them... they're really deep in behind the motor and I'm wondering what I need to do to get to them. Also, I think I have had a small heater core leak that I've been avoiding fixing. If I'm looking to replace these coolant hoses, would it be a good idea for me to attempt to replace the heater core as well (ie. can I reach the h…

i want to fit driftworks kit i want all the old hicas stuff of the car and in the bin, this is what i plan on doing, under the bonet its the two pipes with the banjos that need joining isnt it, so im going to cut one banjo off, slide the banjo out the other rubber pipe from pot and slide the cut end into it and jubilee it up. i see the pipes run under the car somewhere and then run alongside the brake lines (im going to rip all this out) and goes to a doinz bolted up near the rack that seems to be bolted to car somehow (unbolting and ripping this off too, then im going to chuck the rack arms and ball joints and fit the driftworks kit., am i right??? …

I've been struggling to fit all the clutch vacuum lines and tanks in place. So I've have had a bit of think and come up with this idea; Connect the clutch booster vac line to the balance bar via a one way valve. My theory is that this will do away with the tanks but essentially provide the same function. Am I right, or have I missed something?

my car is going to see jeff in may to sort the clutch out. I was just wondering if it could be a simple fix that I could do. the clutch started to slip in 3rd 4rd5rd on checking the master cylinder found it to be leaking. so I have replaced it with a new one and it was still slipping till I adjusted it. then I went out for a drive was out for about 4hrs then it started to slip again so it was pked up for the night and the next morn I was driving it to my lock up when I took it out of 2nd it would not go into 3rd or any gear until the engine was turned off and then I could select a gear so I started it up in 2 nd and limped to the lock up I have bleed the system again but …

Right then, a little tribute to another dead zed... I bought it when i saw it on ebay with all the goodies it had on it, i didn't even look at it first, knowing if it was rotten, i'd get my money back breaking it. When i got it, all seemed well, better condition than i was expecting for a car that had been stood for a while. With all the rot i found, i decided to break the car. I planned to use all the good parts for my Zed, but with money being tight, ive ended up selling most of them. To save i haven't made anywhere near as much money as i should have, is an understatment! Somebody wanted a load of bits, including the engi…
