Today I added a new skill to my skillset... Fitted a bonded windscreen. I am pleased to report that its relatively easy!! I just followed the advice given my my mate who supplies windscreens. I bought a tube of the correct sealant from him. Cleaned up the metal of old seal and also the screen. Did a trial position/fit and screwed a couple of self tappers on the bottom scuttle to take the weight while fitting/bonding. The canister of seal came with a notched nozzle to ensure a nice thick bead of sealant comes out when put in the gun. Did a bead all round. A new owner wanted a check over and depite a nice zed with a few choice parts it did throw up one odd fault, as shown in the pictures below the front anti roll bar bracket had fractured and released the bar fixings completely where it attached to the chassis rail on the drivers side. Not really a heart stopping moment but could make cornering slightly unpredictable, with more body roll than expected. The bar was removed and replaced as it seems to be bent out of shape at that end which points at the bracket having been broken for some time, maybe even the previous owner did not realise, DIY inspection is a real problem with these cars due to poor access without…

I'm looking at a z on ebay and it states its a TT but its got an N/A bumper, am I right in saying it will restrict airflow so should'nt be there. I've emailed him and he says its definately a TT. Sure plenty of you have read about leaking heater matrix and some of course had it happen on your own zeds, but understanding what it looks like in place and how it get you carpet wet is not always clear, so when I changed one last week thought I would take a picture to show it clearly, and this one is a bad one. well i was driving back from tenby today and after putting my foot down i had a misfire but after about 5 miles it cleared its self! the zed done 3 more times and everytime it cleared on its own?!?? any ideas? its a twin turbo manual with i belive a serious 2 ptu fitted

before i fit the dw kit i need to get the hub bushes out the rear hub dont i, iv undone the 12 mm nut and pulled off the rubber bung but cant see what to do next, iv done a search but im confused, do i have to tap the taper thing out then grind the bush and bang it out? what side do we grind and what way does what push out from where, so close to getting car mot'd now then i put pics up

Hey guys, I have a bulb out warning on the dash but none of my bulbs are out. I checked the rear fogs and one was out but it's got naff all in it?? No bulb, wiring, nowt. Is that normal?? Cheers.

Hi everyone, Connected the battery and alarm is going off constantly, cut the cable to the siren for obvious reasons, stripped the wires and put meter on them. There is 12 volts to the siren no matter what i do with the fob, have tried locking/unlocking doors with the key also, even when the car is running i have 12 volts still to the siren. Has anyone else had this problem?

ok i had my mind set that the car was being broken till i got up this morning but now im not sure. im going along to see sanys series 4 this afternoon then should be popping up to collect my own car and bring it home. thing is as alana pointed out to me her dad is one of the top welders at bp in grangemouth would he be able to repair my rotten sills? has anyone repaired them?

Two Zs ran personal bests at the Pod yesterday at the Z Car Challenge yesterday John Palmer (aka jonnymd) ran a 12.39 with a speed of 115.71 in his 240z with a 1jzg engine and Robert Smith (aka RobZ32) ran a 12.45 with a speed of 118.69 in his Z32 2+2 TT With these times they have entered a hall of fame at 9th and 10th position Congrats guys

I'm quite lucky to have a few abandoned runways near where I live, and a few hugely long private roads (not a joke here, I could even googlemap them!) so like to indulge in the odd bit of high-speed tomfoolery. I've noticed a problem recently though, the car used to feel stable up to 170+mph, now at 145-150mph the cars gets quite unstable, if feels like the front becomes very light, what could be the reason for this? The only changes I've made are switching from FK452 245 front, 275 rear to Nankang (sorry, but money was tight) 235/255 rear. I'm from Canada and I've got a Japanese imported 1992 300zx twin-turbo fairlady. No local garages want to work on my car because it's a right-hand drive. I have a coolant leak which I believe is coming from one of the coolant hoses going to the firewall to the heater core. Does anyone have any idea how I might get to these hoses to replace them... they're really deep in behind the motor and I'm wondering what I need to do to get to them. Also, I think I have had a small heater core leak that I've been avoiding fixing. If I'm looking to replace these coolant hoses, would it be a good idea for me to attempt to replace the heater core as well (ie. can I reach the h…
