Hi All, Hope you can help me. I bought a 1991, UK 300 TT Auto. 72,000 miles, FSH etc. Drives fine, gear changes are smooth whilst driving but at idle the engine revs drop down to about 500rpm. Sometimes the revs recover but most of the time the engine stalls. In the morning the car starts fine, and gear changes seem to be fine, but if I switch off after a run, and then come back after a short period of time the same thing. Engine struggles to maintain idle on gear change. Car went into Nissan dealer over the weekend, they plugged Consult in which reported NO FAULTS with anything...HICAS, AIR-CON, A/T, Engine etc...They adjusted the idle which was set at around 1175rpm in …

I've just put a deposit down on an imported '90 300TT auto - now nervously awaiting the RAC report! Everything appeared ok. No smoke of any description came from the exhaust, (engine hot or cold) the gearbox felt seamless and although the steering felt ok to me apparently the garage is going to change a couple of bushes anyway! The only thing that I picked up on was the exhaust note; how intrusive should stock pipes be? I mean it sounded great but I thought maybe it might be blowing somewhere – I guess the RAC will find out. I managed to get the garage to include a Clifford alarm/immobiliser in the price and a cam belt change so I was reasonably pleased with th…

http://www.apexi-usa.com/powerafc.htm text from web site... Concept: A'PEX's answer to the development of a completely programmable fuel management ECU Characteristics: Plug in full computer with highly technical tuning parameters with user friendly features Comments: The Power FC is one of the most technologically advanced fuel management systems for today's racecar. The Power FC allows access to every parameter of tuning within the ECU. Installation of the unit is the easiest on the market. Simply switching out the factory ECU and plugging in the Power FC transforms the factory ECU into a fine tuning instrument capable of growing with t…

I was speaking with Eric, who mentioned about playing with an AFC to get my air fuel ratio better on normal unleaded. I get the occasional pink (detination) on normal, none on super. I wanted to stay with unleaded, what with having a daily driver doing quite a few miles of motorway driving. Super seamed to cost too much. I have thought of the AFC but realising that the AFC is probably going to cost £400 and each fill up on Super is £4 more I should stick to super... looking at it that's 100 fill ups, probably 3+ years worth.... darn why didn't I think of that earlier. Thanks... you have made me answer my own questions!

As some of you know I've got a dent in the left rear quarter just in front of the rear wheel. As my Z is off the road (caliper repair) can anyone give me any pointers on removing the trim so I can gain access to the back of the panel if possible. Thanks, Trev.

Greetings fellow 300 drivers. I've done a pretty stupid thing, I know found out. I recently moved to Tokyo, Japan to work and had my car shipped over here. So far so good, but despite it being a UK grey imported 300, I am having huge problems re-registering the car in Japan. I'm trying to locate the dealer, where I orginally bought the car, but they seem to have vanished from the face of the earth. They are (were)in Greenford, London, just at the left side of Greenford Road, when you come through the round about arriving from A40. Would anybody have any clue, who I am talking about? All help deeply appreciated. Best regards and happy driving. Jan Kieler

Is it really such a nightmare to do the cambelt as Ive heard from some people.Ive done loads of other belts/chains on cars and bikes but I dont want to start and find I need a special tool or something and end up stuck.Ive looked at the TT tech section and they reccomend doing everything else when your down there like water pump seals and other things.Has anyone done it and have you got any "Top tips" Theres also a free cup of Mellow birds for anyone volunteering to come and do it for me. See ya Paul

After alot of thought i have decided to sell the beloved Z, Unfortunatly due to my work load i just don`t get the time to drive it. I have decided that i will get more money back by stripping the mods and selling them seperate. Craig has raped most of the bits but i still have the JWT ECU left. It is for an Auto and will prepare you for the extra boost you know you want!! To buy a new one and get it shipped over and all the messing around will cost you about 450:00, i`m looking for offers in the region of 325:00 exchange. Let me know if you are interested. Bob

Silvia engineering do a set of 4 pulleys (crank, power steering, alternator, water pump). Is this a better option than a single underdrive pulley from SGP? If they are all smaller/lighter is that better, or is the ratio between the pulleys the key to more power?

When I pull up to a junction the revs drop right down to almost stalling, the engine then idles normally. When I go to pull away the car hesitates for what seems like ages and then pulls away. When driving gently at approx 2000 revs the engine occasionally misfires? Has anyone got any ideas please?

I took everyones advice about not bothering with an n/a and I'm pretty close to making an offer on a a black '90 TT auto (Hallmarks, Thatcham, Berks.) Subject to RAC check. The car in question is as near perfect to my inexperienced eye as any ten year old car I've ever seen - it's showing 77000km. However, I've just been told the 1990 auto box is well dodgy. Should I leave well alone?

Is there a very loving 300zx buyer who would like to buy my baby. I have to sell her as I am expanding my business and frankly need the money to do it. She is a very clean 90' on a H plate, TT SWB Man. A fantastic drivers model. I realy don't want to sell it but I must look for the future. What is keeping me sain is my wifes comment "you could get 5 if it all works out!", and I hope she is right because I can't live wthout a Z for long. Conact me here or on 07092 388433 / 07740 933374 or e-mail paul.arundale@dial.pipex.com Cheers Paul

these are pictures of the t-shirts that Warren had made up. He only had a couple done, to get some reaction, and i'm sure he'll post prices and sizes once he reads this :) This one is being modelled by Warren himself. There is one of Hairsy modelling the same, but the t-shirt was a bit large and drowned him :) The front is the logo that Mark had done, in the colours as well. The back is a montage done by Warren, featuring shots of the '99 Z, and the key/keyring.

When I drive over a slight bump or a manhole cover at cruising speeds it feels like my car steps out to the side slightly, its obviousley worse if i am cornering at the time when it feels like the car might just spin out on me one day. Ive spoke to Johnny who suggests checking the rear track rod ends so I just want to check with the rest of you incase anyone else has any ideas. cheers Paul P.S. the suspension is stock..
