I hear you guess talk about diagnostic beeps quite often, and I was wondering, as I don't have a handbook/manual for my Flady how you get them sounding, and what the various codes mean? John

Craig, Nico. Now that I've got one of those Ericsson R380's I really think you 2 ought to pull your finger out and do this on WAP. Surely you 2 haven't got anything better to do!!!!!! Zed banter might even make WAP useful! Simon (Inspector Gadget)

Which fuse in the fuse box covers the heated rear window?...mine has recently stopped working...and on looking inside the fuse box lid I found that all the writing is in Japanese! (It's an import) Any chance someone could have a look and describe it's position to me..thanks. JEZ300Z

I've got an imported TT and I replaced the speedo with a UK unit rather than having a conversion done. Because of this my cruise control only works up to 68mph, so it's fairly useless! I've found a guy in Australia who has designed a circuit board which you can fit inside the cruise unit. This will allow the cruise to work at higher speeds (I think around 98mph). I'm planning on ordering one of these soon. If anyone else wants a unit, let me know and I'll get them shipped over at the same time. The circuit board is $60AUS (about £21), or he will fit it for you if you send your cruise unit to him (in Australia) for $90AUS (including return postage).

Very good condition. Can't remember precise tank size but it's big enough to run air tools (which is what I used it for when I was karting) or for spraying. Tank is about 3 or 4 foot long. Uprated the pressure to around 110 psi (again, from memory) but adjustable. Includes a decent length air line, tyre inflator & gauge, air ratchet, pressured water line (connects to hosepipe and then boosts up to 110 psi!). If you have the space, these things are VERY handy - no more going to the garage for air and you can pretend you're an F1 team and race you mates at wheel changes ! Cost me £300-£400. Best offer over £120. Buyer collects though - I'm not post…

Hi Peeps, In serious UK heavy rain, have had drips of water leaking onto my right foot. This is bloody annoying as you can guess. Upon further analysis I think its coming out of foot air con vents. I have seen other posts regarding air-con causing probs but I do not have any unecessary misting of wind screen etc. I have not used my air-con or de-mist option for a month or so. Could the car be sucking in rain from the external air intake? Any ideas ?? I may go nuts on the A12 if I cannot sort this. Thanks in advance Another Dave ;-)

I've recently purchased a 92 UK TT. Totally pleased apart from the dipped headlight output which seems totally inadequate. I'ts just had a MOT, so I assume the headlights are correctly adjusted. Any suggestions? + anyone fitted driving lights to help?

Thought I'd got everything sorted to take delivery of my imported Z (what a performance) Now I've got a headache with insurance! I had comprehensive quote, or so I thought, at £650.P/A but now I'm told I cannot get insurance at all because it's a Japanese import - tried half a dozen companies this pm. - all the same - aghh!! I know there must be somebody out there willing to insure the car. Any ideas? Cheers Phil

For many months I've been looking forward to putting antera 143 18's (10" & 8") on my Z. Now a week away from the big day I find that they have been discontinued and the set I have ordered have been damaged badly in transit. Oh Bo***cks! Sooo...what would you recommend as alternatives in the sizes? (18x10 18x8/8.5)

I have just pulled the engine out of my car and have a couple of questions for the more technical/experienced members. Firstly, I was thinking of having the intake manifold polished, has any body had this done or been quoted for it, if so how much? Secondly, is it worth having the heads ported, flowed and polished or is it going to be a waste of time and money? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. top site!

Hi All, Does everyone with a TT notice quite a bit of white exhaust smoke on startup during these colder mornings ? Is this normal ? Seems to die down after 15 minutes or so. Good news...my insurance quote came thru today....£521 Fully Comp with the AA !! Not bad eh ? I'm 39 full NCB based in Newport Pagnell near Milton Keynes.

...as I haven't a workshop manual. On my previous car I used to drain the radiator off and replace with almost neat antifeeze. Can I do this on my Z32?(I checked the level of antifreeze, and it seems very low) Can I get to the drain plug for the radiator very easily,or is it a job for the local garage? Hey gang, i should have had this done already, as i was hoping to get together this coming sunday 26th Nov, however i am having trouble finding a venue. Having swapped emails with a few of you, and got some broad requirements, it seems some of us will be accompanied by partners and/or children. From experience, i know that some of them don't share the same enthusiasm we do.... ;) Is the date okay with most of you ? Although it is short notice... I think the majority of the owners are south/south west london, with a few kent, essex and bucks. So realistically, anywhere around the M25 is okay, south would probably be easier for the majority. Ha…

My windscreen is misting up. Whatever i do with the heater/air con its still there. It was pretty serious this morning. Even opening the windows didn't clear it. I think there must be a vapour leak under the front driver side demister. Is this likely and whats the fix?

Hi all. I have a dilemma and I would really appreciate some help: I currently own a 290bhp Calibra Turbo 4x4. I have spent £6000 on mods and while it can out-handle just about anything (including a 300ZX ;o), I find that it just doesn't have enough power. I could continue tuning it, but money can't buy me an extra 1000cc, an extra turbo and an extra 2 cylinders unless I replace the engine and start tuning from scratch. So, the question is, do you think I should buy a 300ZX (which I have always really liked) or stick with the Calibra. I realise that some of you may be biased ;o) but I'd really appreciate your opinions as I have never driven a 300ZX and don't know the…

Have any of you guys got a catalyst-free exhaust fitted? I'm looking at one from SE. My scorpion cat-back is already loudish and I'm reluctant to go louder so is there any difference in noise level? What difference does it have on performance? Mine's a 1990 so I can run it decatted and still be legal, even thru an MOT. True or false?

was absolutely no problem today. Sailed through without even any advises or warnings. Although new tyres, springs, shocks, brakes might have helped a little.... ;) and for those of us who have turbo idle oil seal leaks.... i smoked those suckers out.. lol i did warn them not to let it idle for no reason......

I am looking for a pair of new rears (standard 245/45/zr16). I will get Michelin Pilot Sports top match the fronts I just had fitted. Anyone know anywhere I can get the best price? I thought I might be able to save some cash by ordering them on-line but I can't find anywhere on the web. Any advice? Cheers Jimus
