Hi all My 2 seater/jap is on 85000KM and therfore coming up to its 60K service (oh shit). I phoned my local (BH postal area) Nissan Approved dealership and they said they could do it and it would cost around £350-400. This seems very realonable. Is this sound about right. Any comments welcome.

okay, i now have the application form for this event. prices:- entry per person, if paid before 01/05 = £4 entry per person, if paid before 05/08 = £5 dedicated club track time:- £650 for max 40 cars so minimum price per car is £16.25 30 cars = £21.67 20 cars = £32.50 our track time and stand are provisionally booked, but i need to confirm as soon as i can to guarantee it. I have a car registration for sale that is on retention. The registration is 5009 XZ which is sort of close to ZX I suppose (it is to a police cop looking in his mirror seeing you approaching at 155mph !!!) Hi All, For the past few days I have been getting a slight crunching sound as I engage the starter motor. Do I need a new starter? It definatly sounds like there's something iffy as the cog engages, could a tooth on the flywheel be broken? Any suggestion on new and second-hand prices would be welcome. Ta Eddie ;-)

Not good news today, summoned to view the internals of my engine. Can anyone sort of confirm what I've been told as being gen. without seeing with their own eyes? If I descibe what I've been shown? Piston linings have grooves which shouldn't exist apparently, you can see them, they're like the rings you see through a tree stump that tells its age, tech. guy told me to push my finger nail against certain areas of the cylinder wall and you could feel them. Is this bad? Also three out of six pistons were moving from side-to-side inside the lining by a few mm's. Is this bad? Told that this causes "piston slap". On the heads side, he showed me some of the valves and …

I have just done an ecu check when it was cold and it came up with code 13 & 34. 13 is the coolant sensor and 34 is the detonation sensor. After going up the road and warming it up I checked it again. The coolant sensor has gone but the detonation sensor is still there. Is it something to worry about, because it is in the middle of the engine and not the easiest thing to get to. Will this cause a hesitation.

If you looked under the for sale/wanted forum you'll know I'm in the process of dismantling a 300ZX Twin Turbo. I seem to be getting a lot of enquiries already (Thanks partly to this forum (-: ) The only problem I'm having though is not knowing how much anything is worth. I've been told to expect anything from 25% to 50% of a parts new value, depending on desirability. Does anyone have any ideas on a quick and easy way to determine values??
