Hi Guyz, Just put some EBC Green pads on the front, which seem to be running V hot as in i hope they don't warp the discs hot! i know they need some time to bed in and settle down but i'v never known brakes get that hot. Bit concerned as i'm driving to Scotland tmw. If you see a Red Z on fire on the M6 tmw its me, now the front end of the car is vibrating Cheerz Pete [This message has been edited by Pete (edited 30-06-2001).]

DON'T SPEED!!!!!!! No matter how many camera warning gadgets or sharp eyes you've got, they WILL get you one day The ONLY way to not get caught is to drive within the speed limits. I might sound boring but could not afford any more points on my license - the Z would have to go I've got three from 4 tears ago and it still knocks my insurance up even though they are not even counted now. Thats another point - why do points only last for 3 years but you get penalised for 5 years???? RIP-OFF BRITAIN - thats why CheerZ, Andy

Recently noticed smoke from engine bay after runing car for about 30 mins. Smoke coming from wheel arch and also from top of bonnet near the battery. I have checked everything i can think of and found not leaks etc...well that are visible. I think it maybe a small issue of oil dripping onto the exhaust manifold, can anyone help. Cheers

I have come to the conclusion that I am not going to find a manual TT with leather for upto seven grand Oh boy oh boy, have I tried.. AutoTrader, Findit, Ex&M, Loot and even those small little adverts in pay phones Why then hell are there soooooo many Autos and no manuals. Its gotta be a fifteen to one ratio in favour of the slushboxes (oiiii put that can back on dem worms) no offence to the Auto dudes ;-) Someone sell me a Manual TT that doesn't have 15 grands worth of extras on it ;-) Sorry for the rant. The rant is now officially over. Mind you they just gave me another 3 grand Visa so I could just stretch to Chris's Motor.. Hmm bankrupcy vs. Zed - toug…

Just took my Z on a long business trip to Ireland cause the weather was nice. Not only got over 25mpg on a TT (no supersonic stuff!) but also got fuel at weak Euro prices 55p a litre - thats more like it. I hate thinking of Gordon Brown smiling when I floor it. Never saw 350 miles before the wee light came on before! Anybody get more mpg? I see some here get silly mpg?

That post about 'some guy came up to me and said' got me thinking about the time I gave a German chap a lift down the A12 from one meeting to another. He turned up to the first meeting in a newish Jag XJ6. When he got into my red jap import, he looked admiringly around - especially at the glass roof (light and airy) and asked what it was that he was sitting in. I, as usual told him an old Datsun. He then asked what I'd paid for it and I told him. The rest of the journey - and all through the subsequent meeting, I could see him having a problem with the £54,000 extra he'd spent on his Jag. I dropped him of at his car later, let him go first them took more delight by pass…

Well, those bastards have done it again. Got this from a good friend of mine today... For those of you who travel up the M6 regularly please note the following: Just to let you all know, M6 Jnc18 Roadwork's. SPECS has been installed and will be live in about a weeks time There are 4 dummy cameras and 2 working pairs so beware. SPECS is the system that monitors the time it takes your car to travel between two fixed points. It's fully digital and can process thousands of tickets an hour. There's no point in slowing down when you see the second camera as you'll already have been nicked! You need to all watch these; not that I think any of you s…

A mobile aircon guy coming tomorrow to fill her up as i am empty so i will put it to the test tomorrow but it all seems to be working fine, To fill her with gas is £50 is that a fair price .

If anyone on here has done track days before what else would they advise i.e. spare brake pads, brake fluid, ATF fluid, oil, HICAS ball joints etc... Thanks lads Trev

When I start my car in the morning sometimes, I see a puff of black/blue smoke. Its only when the car just starts to run and I stop the key. Its only 1 puff and then every thing is fine. No more smoke at all, even when I boot it. The car runs great. What could it be. Are my turbo seals going and I am getting some oil in the exhaust. Help please anyone Stuart (Slightly worried)

has anyone got/had a problem with the seals round the door leaking? Mine look pretty new but I noticed when its raining, I get drips of water from the rubber seal round the passenger seat door, is this due to the TTops? is it the same for everyone to get a few drips? or should my car be water tight. Seems to mainly happen after I open the door when its raining, maybe a few drips are falling done or getting trapped any suggestions?
