YES! I finally got my rear tyres sorted today. Ordered a pair of S-O3's from MichelDever and they promptly arrived this afternoon. Got me new alloys (from Holland) down to the local ATS and they look the business! Very happy. One problem though ... The rims I got in Holland (stock euro spec rears) are a different colour than the ones that were on there. They are darker grey metallic and I actually think they look much better than the stock ones I have on the front. Does anyone know if you can colour the alloys and if so, where can it be done/can I do it myself, etc ... As always - very grateful for your feedback. Later! Dan

Just been to get my car washed at the IMO car wash thing and to my suprise I was mobbed by 6 blokes in flared boiler suits, platform shoes and all spoting El Tooley type afro's!! I have not laughed that much in ages, they told me to chill, relax and unwind while they took my car and cleaned it up. My car is spotless, even done the alloys in the hard to reach bits!! All for £6 too, am mighty impressed! Anywho..... ....am off to earn me some millions, I tell you Rodney (Tim) stick with me and I'll make you a millionaire.... Or just a couple of rabbits at least... ..LMAO Matty. ------------------

Hi guy's, just purchased my first ever 'Z' '91 J UK TT manual with leather, covered a lot of miles though but with a fsh from nissan, what a car drives brilliantly. I just noticed that the water pump is buggered, not leaking just a lot of play in the shaft, so may as well do the timing belt while I'm here. Also the idle sometimes when I come to a stop stays at about 1500rpm and wont drop back down. So switch off, restart and all is well again??????? any idea's would be greatly apprieciated. P.s my nissan dealer told me there is no gasket for the water pump or inlet/outlet pipes is this true???????

GuyZ, we all know that BlitZ, HKS, Mongoose etc. etc. etc. do a decent system for our cars. But...I was thinking about other exhaust manufacturers, I made some enquiries about Sebring the other day but they don't do anything for ours, which is arse considering they supply Porch etc. Do any of you know of any other makes besides the usual run of the mill that will go on a 300??? Tim ;-)

Just got the Z, its a 91 TT 2+2. Right, the first concern is this speed limiter, Ive read a lot on here about the japs beeping above 62mph, well ours doesnt do that, we were doing 70 on the motorway bringing it back with no beeping. Also ive heard the cruise doesnt work above 62, well ours works fine at 70. So does this mean ours doesnt have the speed limiter? We would have tried taking it over 112 but we didnt knwo if anything was wrong with it so we took it steady. When its on the road im sure it'll get a blast. Next thing, the speedo only goes to 180km/h what can be done about this, i want 180MPH Then, when u fire it up there is a HICAS light on all t…

Thought I could win at the insurance game for once, but proved wrong. Someone on this forum was warning me about Privilege and I should have listened. Phoned them up for a quote on my 1989 import 300 TT. As it wasn't on their books they quoted me a price for a 300 single turbo and said that would be the price they would give, even though its a different car. Great, I thought, £530 bargain. So I send off my NCD proof etc. Then things start to go bad. Firstly they lose my original NCD documents, though they definitely received them. Secondly now (two weeks later and a different salesperson) they reckon my car is not covered and my premium will increase by £300, whi…

Spent some time today sifting through the wrecks of 7 dead zeds and was major surprised to see the level of corrosion on them underneath especially the Uk spec one`s? One in particular would defo failed an Mot and it was a 1994!! how do owners let them get so bad? Found lots of blue leather seats and trim, engines and body parts on my trip, lucky parts are available but the salvage yards are getting gready, one was asking £700 for leater seats + Vat!!! and the T tops were out and the seats wet! Have managed to get an original flare torch as fitted to the two clips in the passeger footwell on Jap imports. Its the type you activate by pulling the top off and laying on the road behind your car if broken down.Has anyone thoughts on the safety of having this clipped in the car?? I am not too sure, seemed a cool idea at firts ...originality etc but well might clip it in , have a normal torch there at the moment which is probably more practical. Also got a blitz racing boost gauge and Hks boost controller for £40 the pair seems ok eh ? Jeff tt

The engine oil cooler is in front of the aircon rad(condenser)and in front of that is the tichy little transmission oil cooler. I felt it after a run the other day - the oil coolers that is, and the little transmission one was warm but the bigger engine one stone cold. Does anyone know if the engine one is controlled by a thermostat and at waht temp? If so I guess I was driving like a granny as usual and being too cool. Thanks Willie

I'ts bugging the hell out of me as the window 'pops' out of its seal at about 110. Hopefully someone out there can help. Tim Sorry had a really shite day.

OK, unbolted the big connector from the AT ECU, then put it back in and bolted it in a little less tightly (seem to remember that from reading about ALC installations).. Ran the diag again, and now there are no flashes at all ?! Depress accel. and I just get one loong flash on the AT light, then nothing.. No 10 quick flashes, nothing.. Does that mean no faults at all at all? Or did I just do the diag wrong 15 times in a row (I managed it before mind!) It shifts *really* violently out of 1st now at half throttle Plus, it still does this; Floor it, gets to about 60, then no drive, just coasting sitting at 4000RPM.. Lift off a bit, get drive back.. It's…
