Has anyone had this fault before or can shed light on this, everytime I reverse the 4 reverse lights flicker on and off then go out altogether??????? I think it might be a switch somewhere but where is another matter?? Any ideas greatly welcome.

First thing I would check is the relay - don't ask me which though. That would take a read of the manual.

 

On the subject of reverse, can anyone tell me how to turn the damn chime off ?

I had the same problem and it was the switch which is a nightmare to get to. You have to get at it from underneath the car, but as I said it is really difficult to get the switch out. Mine ended up being done when my engine was out - which gave access up on top of the propshaft.

 

I'm sorry this doesn't help you, maybe someone knows a knack of getting to it easily.
