I remember meeting a guy called Dave and his mate Dan, I think. 1 had a 200sx and the other a yellow 300NA with a wicked Veilside bodykit and the loudest exhaust ever. Also what is the name of that great couple who are into bikes and Z31 and Z32's?? Sorry I've forgotten your names. I up for that meet in the Halfway House in Brentwood on the 2nd Sept. Might see you there. Top meet, good seeing you all. I was the guy with my bros Tony (AVA300) and his mettalic grey 300TT. Dissapointed at not seeing Craig who was on holiday, Warren who I think was working and lack300. Who else was there?? Good with faces lousy with names.

Most of you know that I'm about to move to Anglesey which if you're a foreigner is an Island just off the coast of De Wales...Aiiiiii! Anyway, just so happens that my new house is literally down the road from here... www.anglesey-race-circuit.co.uk ...which sounds like a right good crack for the money. So, if anyone is interested in a cheaper track day than having to go to Silverstone...let me know! Plenty of nice B&B's near me, not to mention the fact that I've got to sort out a nice large concreted area for stables etc. when I move in. This could be highly utilised as a Z parking zone if you've got a tent etc. Or don't mind being licked to death in the…

My Jap Z is boosting to +5 x100mmHg on the stock gauge. Is this standard and what's this in PSI etc? I have a JWT ECU, K&N, HKS Dragger and need a boost upgrade. Where can I get a cheap one from? (I assume they are all pretty much the same - I don't think I need a controller unless at a very good price) Also need a water temp guage and boost guage. I heard 15PSI is about the max to go to - is this right?

I jus bought my first 300zx =) It's a 1990 300zx twin turbo it already has dual 12inch JL audio subwoofers running 3 mtx amplifers, image chrome rims 6circle design which was discontinued a few years back, dual 4inch exhaust, supra style spoiler, tinted windows, and front air spoiler =) hehe it's all exterior work, but the only bad thing is I have to get the twin turbos rebuilt, which I've worked out a trade with a local mechanics shop to get them rebuilt for free. It has 150k miles on it, with only 10k on the rebuilt engine with 26k more miles under warrenty by the mechanic shop =) I'm going to get a wide body explosion kit which adds 3inches to …

I've just had me car for a week now but have noticed on the motorway at low speeds there's a small vibration going through the car, especially 5th gear doing about 2000rpm(60mph), go upto 80 or 90mph and it seems to get better. Don't really notice it on 'A' roads could it be the propshaft U/J bearings or could it be something more serious and expensive. Can't compare with any other 'Z' cause I never been in one before I bought mine. any ideas very welcome, cheers Jonny...... p.s sorry for the essay!!!!!!!

The curse of Trax has got me as well. 3 things started happening yesterday 1 the speedo keeps going dead 2 the power steering keeps going dead 3 the hicas light comes on now and again the strange thing is that all 3 things dont always happen at the same time. Sometimes its just the speedo. Ive checked all the fuse/relay box for dodgy connections. It must be a simple electrical connection but where? BEWARE the CURSE of TRAX Paul

VNT turbocharger with variable turbine geometry The four-cylinder Mercedes-Benz CDI engines are now into their second generation. These engines now feature a VNT (= variable nozzle turbine) turbocharger. The effect of the VNT turbocharger can be seen from the new output and torque figures for the four-cylinder engines, which on the E 200 CDI show an increase of 10 kW/13 hp (approx. 13 per cent) and 15 Newton meters (6.4 per cent) over the previous values. On the E 220 CDI the new VNT turbocharger increases the torque by five per cent, while output is increased by 13 kW/18 hp (14 per cent). In accordance with the engine speed, the VNT turbocharger alt…

A job for one night this week is a coolant change (eww its all brown in there!) or two.. Obviously I need a mixed-metal safe coolant, and lots of (distilled preferrably) water.. But.. I fill the rad through the rad cap, I assume, but then do I also fill that coolant bottle thing on the right hand side (as you look at the engine) of the bay? I notice it has a dipstick in it... Well.. The bottom of mine is wet.. Just.. Should it be further up? Cheers Az (questions questions I know.. sorry!)

OK - I found the sight glass.. I really wasn't looking for something that looked quite like that! It looks like.. Well.. Bubbly white stuff (use your imagination guys ), so it's gotta be super-mega-low on freon (which I'm assuming is still R12 in my system).. Question - does anyone around my way (ish, dont mind travelling 100 or so miles) have a reliable aircon guy who can either refill the system with R12 (sshhhh.. dont tell anyone) or one of the R12-safe mixes? (R438 was it?). Or are any of you running R134a OK? Cheers.. Az

Nice car defo, nice car, pearl purple with 18's and tints. Parked the prattmobile up next to it and took a long lookie at all angles. Know what? my car pissed all over it in the looks dept!.. ok I know it would do me badly on the Nurburgring but man, it looked average next to my car.. So my question to the real die hard z32 fans …

Has anyone been up close and personal with their speedo convertors (to convert jap speedo's to show MPH instead of KPH)? What I want to know is; Is the speedo convertor wired in line with the speedo, therefore also converting the speed signal that the ECU sees (since the ECU takes its feed from the speedo), or should the ECU feed come off the speed signal wire *before* the convertor? Therefore letting the ECU(s) see the KPH signal unaltered while the speedo sees MPH? Cheers me-dears.. Az
