Mate, My ICE saga continueth! Remember I had a Blaupunked head unit fitted in my Merc? It was tripping whenever the volume was turned up so I thought it might have been the unit was faulty. Anyway, went back to Halfords and had a nicer Sony fitted, still doing it. Guy at Harrys reckons that it could be power related, but I'm getting 12v steady on my volt meter. Or could be the speakers grounding, shorting whatever as they haven't exactly been fitted properly by the muppett that had the car before me. Rockford Fosgate speakers should have been delivered by the weekend. Are you about over the weekend mate? Coz if you are I would like you to have a look and se…

I've just bought a K&N filter for my 1991 TTZ. The box says its for a 1990 -93 Z, the instructions suggest this also....but does it fit - NO! The filter is so large that it doesn't fit between the splash guard and the bumper reinforcement! (In fact if I remove the splash guard if still doesnt fit, because there's the oil cooler support beam going across the front). Has anybody else had grief fitting a K&N? Better still, can somebody let me know the dimensions for theirs? (When I say mine is large, I mean you could almost wear it as a hat!) Cheers Si.

Evening Zoiksterz Now then, im most interested in the old underdrive pulley thang. 1st question would be, as my car was bought with certain 'ahem' subtle mods all ready in place, how would I tell if my car has one fitted already? 2nd Q, if it doesn't have said circular performance enhancementage, what does the replacement underdrive pulley offer in terms of performance etc. i have heard it is possibly the best modification you can make to the vg30De (all things considered) and can i fit it myself or does it need balancement to be done professionally? I dont mind gettin dirty and greasy under the old batmobile, but am no expert Ta chaps and have a good evening…

On the way back from Knockhill at the weekend I was heading down the A1 towards the English border (single carriageway 60 limit) in very heavy rain when I noticed a metallic blue Nissan Almera GTI up my arse. Anyone who has driven the upper A1 will know there are speed cameras every few hundred yards so I was sticking to the limit though mainly due to the weather. This guy just had to get past me no matter what and he nearly went head on into 2 trucks so I was thinking what a wanker. Next time he tried to get past on a long straight he got a good run up but I floored it and left him standing in the middle of the road. Did this 2 more times and he was looking most up…

My import has a modified ECU but I haven't found anybody who has been able to identify what the chip is (just a ROM with Jap writing on it) I know the car is putting out more power than standard but with the Jap guages it's tricky making comparisons. I have a K&N cone intake and HKS drager exhaust and want to up the power. How do you go about upping the boost etc in this case (new known ECU?). How is boost increased? By the ECU settings alone or do I have to use some sort of boost controller/bigger injectors etc? Simple for you "tool jockeys" i'm sure... LOL
