I've been reading this forum for a while now - if I could choose a car it would probablt be a 300zx - TT of course! wheeeee! But everyone seems to be real handy with their Z's and are always 'tinkering'. Are Z's unreliable or do you all just like fiddling (with your cars!)? I'm not at all handy with cars - would a Z not be for me then? Plus, I read somewhere that Nissan stopped producing the 300zx in the UK round about 1995, but I never seem to see any Z's later than about 1992. Are there any? Plus, has anyone got an import which is later than 95? I've never seen/heard of anyone having one... cheers C.

Got some o them cheap 20 grooved discs from Kevin at 3g brakes last week, well worth the money, and fitted them according to the instructions. But ever since people keep telling me they are the wrong way round. On the left wheel on the front (passengers) the grooves spiral out to the left which is what was recommended, but is different to the backs. (tarox on back) Anyone know why they should be different? Cheers. Paul.

Hello, I've migrated briefly from the 200SX board to try and find out whether the air flow meter is the same on the Twin Turbo and the Normally Aspirated Versions of the 300ZX. Can anyone help me? Does anyone know what the throat diameter is of the AFM? Thanks, Jezz.

Hi all, I know the topic of flares has been touched on before (I think it was JeffTT ...) but I thought I'd share this news with you as it is quite important. I had a flare stuck under the passenger side dash and decided to get rid of it (propperly). First of all the things are illegal on the roads in the UK and besides that mine was about 8 years out of date ... I took it to my local police station and casually asked where I could get rid of the thing. I was then promptly escorted to a private room where I was asked a bunch of questions regarding where I got it from, where I bought the car, etc. To cut a long story short, an officer specialised in explosives came wi…

SUGGESTION for this forum.... What if we add a separate forum (under the Current Forums Menu to the left of this web site): this separate forum would only hold posts about one single specific PART where ppl can post the price they get...so every one konws how much they shold pay for something...and where to order it from... eg. Forum one: TYRES....here people would post the price they pay as they buy...so automatically we keep an up to date price for this items... Forum 2: exhausts:...just post price you pay for it...and we keep thi up to date...as people buys systems... Forum 3: Turbos...etc.. Forum 4 etc etc....what do you say?

Hi, I just failed my MOT for: * Excessive Play near side rear wheel bering * near side rear tyre below limit Now, tyres I'm not bothered because I had average ones and I wanted to get 4 new tyres anyway.... Co-op Nissan wants £199,16 inc VAT and inc Fitting for the BEARING.....this looked to me like an ok price...so I said ok....(was it ok?) About TYRES!!!!! I decided to buy 4 new tyres.... what are the best ones (without going silly in prices) to get?... From some old post I understand that you all love the Bridgestone Potenza S02...(is it the right name?) NOTE: my car is UK stock standard..is 4 tyre 245 all around a good solution…

Does anybody know if it is possible to fit the Jap power/hold button on the auto box to a UK auto Z?? I think I've heard someone here mention it before. Cheers, Andy

Guys, Not that I am thinking of getting rid of my beloved Zed in the short term, but I was looking in Autotrader to try and gauge its current value. The prices seems to vary wildly for similar age/spec etc. Mines a ... 19992 J' UK TT MANUAL ,totally standard with Nissan service history and 92k miles. Full letaher blah blah blah .... Whats your best guess on value at present? My insurance is due this month (plus some Bridgestone S02's or 3's are needed ..) so an idea would help. Thanks guys. Glenn

Zedsters, I am after a set of used (but not shagged) NKG PFR6b-11c plugs (UK plugs for the TT). I am going to do a like for like test against the PFR6b-11b plugs (US plugs for the TT). I already have a set of 11b's. Have you recently changed your plugs and will you sell your old plugs for a SMALL fee? Cheers Andy

Finished a night shift ealry saturday morning, promtly after 3 hours sleep I awoke and jumped in the shower. Freshened up and 3 Pro-Plus later I loaded up my car and set off to Corley services to meet Mr. Andy Duff and his Scandic Ms. Lynsey Duff, Both really nice people, we all got on well. Arrived at the Quality Inn at 12:30pm and found the bar and spent the next couple of hours knocking back a few (7 or 8, not sure) then checked into our rooms. We all went down the the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, used all the facilities there and I thought I'd have some fun by jumping into the pool with a chair (was sitting on it at the time!) I was laughing under wa…

Think I need to adjust my microwave sensors somehow.. It started raining about 2am last night, and that promptly set off the proximity alarm about 5 times in a row on the car.. Grrr Was tempted to get out of bed and put the alarm into silent mode.. But it was pi55ing it down, so I couldn't be bothered! Az

Managed to get to Trax today and (eventually) found where the Zeds were lined up - nice collection! Wanted to get in there to park up, but none of the officials were that helpful in terms of directions etc. Anyway, maybe next year.... One thing worth seeing was the black RS500 doing the 0 to 60 sprint in 3.8 seconds!!!! Any ideas what the f@~k he had under the bonnet?!?!?! Or was the timing gear a little optimistic? Cheers! Trying to cut a long story short...... Want to get some decent bass in the Z. Installed new Sony head unit last year along with some MB quart speakers in the doors - well pleased with them. Also replaced the rears with some Kenwood 4x6s which have done f@#k all, but nevermind! Anyway, now the tricky part..... In terms of subs, I didn't want anything big because I want space in the boot for a suitcase and also the T-tops (if I ever drive over to Italy again!). Heard that Focal had released some 5 inch subs so bought a pair of these for around £300 and put them in a small home made box which sits just behind the rear seats. Running off a 2x140W Kenwood amp you ca…

Hi, Good to see the 300s finally go around the track (and not off in the gravel rolling it... poor scooby & expensive 911 Turbo)... was a good day, nice to meet the Holland guys making such a big effort (Eric & Willie)... Hopefully something else will come up soon... Cheers, Jez.

Some may already know about me ongoing saga with me arse ICE install, determined to sort this without having to approach the PRO's like Bob etc. Story goes like this, Sony CD head unit just installed by Halfords...when I turn up the volume the head unit trips out and then comes back on. Obviously not happy! So read the instructions and it says that the unit doesn't like active, sorry probably passive, they're right before the speaker connections, crossovers, turns out that Merc. have crossovers installed, so cut them out of the equation, took the front speakers out completely and just tried it with the Brittney Spears(rears)...still tripping! So headunit out of …
