Installed my new intercooler and throttle body S/Steel pipes I got from Smithy over the weekend. They really do change the look of the engine bay and were very easy to install. If anyones existing pipes are a bit shagged out and need replacing I would say these are a good way to go. Great!!I now have something else to polish on my car. The problem is now I will be forcing evreyone to look under the bonnet of my Zed!!! Go on, treat yourself!!The red hoses look the part to. Seez ya Simon (shiny pipes) H Well, worth at least 20% off my next purchase Smithy (nudge nudge wink wink!!!!!!)

Thought these things were meant to filter out false alarms from petrol stations and traffic lights etc. Maybe I should have gone for the Bell? Steve

I have a Jap 90 TT and occasionally (well most of the time) the digital clock doesn't work. The display fades away and then comes back in but with a different time. I know the clocks are a bit dodgy and will probably need replacing but the climate control display sometimes does the same. Anyone found a solution for the same problem. Thanks for any help Tim

A couple of weeks ago I had a Hicas/speedo/power steering fault that some of you helped me with ideas. Well it turns out that it is the Kmh to Mph converter that was causing it so I have removed it. I would prefer to replace it with a UK speedo than buy another converter, do you need to change the whole cluster or can you just change the speedo on these. And I know some of you have been trawling through the breakers recently so has anyone seen one? Cheerz Paul

Just got my Snooper S5 from the legendary Bob at S&S Chester. Straight question: What will happen to me if Inspector Chisholm of the Willesden Police Squad catches me using it?? LOL Will they put me in Crown Court on a charge of disrupting the Airways, Byways, Highways and bang me in Strangeways? Is it a serious offence using Radar/Gatso detectors and Laser Diffusers? Ta ducks Glen

Since doing a lot of tinkering lately the Z seems to be idling around 1500rpm and sometimes hits 2000. I've cleaned the air filter, throttle bodies (disconnected battery) and fitted the boost upgrade so I think it needs adjusting. I presume there is a screw somewhere...? What should my Jap '91 TT idle at?

Ok my passenger seat moves not a jot, I have tried feeding the motor with the supply from the drivers seat which works perfect, and it sits there as lifeless as a mogadon'd civil servant. Does anyone know anything about these motors, the seat is not as flexible as the drivers one (ie just back/forward - and back rest back/forward) so would I be right in thinking that I cannot replace the motor(s) with one from a drivers seat? I say this coz apparently electric passenger seats are rare? Its also a total shit to get the seat removed and check the motors as it is wound right back and you cannot access the rear two mounting bolts Does anyone know of any breakers that m…

My friend and his Lancia mates on his forum have organised a karting day at Three Sisters, Wigan. They are in teams of 4 and its like a 2 hour Le Mans, where each driver drives for 15 mins and then pits to change driver and fuel. The one with the most laps wins. Three Sisters is about 500 metres away from Hiteq in Wigan, so if you know where that is. Three Sisters is a good track for carts and I believe it is a venue for the Brittish Karting Championship. I was wondering if anyone on here is interested in doing this, they also do other things like proper races with practice and qualifying. This also maybe a good environment to get to know our Supra friends. Just let…

Apprently and according ot the United states supplier of racelogic traction controll, the UK Version of TC is non-sequential and can damage an engine on a us spec 300zx????? lol never knew there were that many differences can anyone explain. below is the mail "Thank you for your emails about the TC system. The UK system is simpler than the US system as it is non-sequential, and we do therefore limit this to the UK only, as it can damage an engine on a US spec car. I don't personally know what price they are selling it for, but I will find out. "

Quick question - does anyone know what internal diameter the oil lines from the transmission are? Also - I need to extend them, would I be right in thinking that fuel hose (provided it can take the pressure - what pressure does the A/T run at anyway?) would be fine? If so, should just be a case of extending the oil lines and fitting a bigger cooler, I hope Cheers.. ------------------ Az

At present the tranmission is off the car while the engine has loads of work done to it. What (if anything) could I do with the box while its off? I've got a crunchy 3rd to 4th @ 6000 RPM, which seems to be getting worse. And the general shifting between gears isnt as smooth as it used to be. How about getting a sixth gear in there, is this possible? CheerZ in advance Simon.
