My friend and his Lancia mates on his forum have organised a karting day at Three Sisters, Wigan. They are in teams of 4 and its like a 2 hour Le Mans, where each driver drives for 15 mins and then pits to change driver and fuel. The one with the most laps wins. Three Sisters is about 500 metres away from Hiteq in Wigan, so if you know where that is. Three Sisters is a good track for carts and I believe it is a venue for the Brittish Karting Championship. I was wondering if anyone on here is interested in doing this, they also do other things like proper races with practice and qualifying. This also maybe a good environment to get to know our Supra friends. Just let…

Apprently and according ot the United states supplier of racelogic traction controll, the UK Version of TC is non-sequential and can damage an engine on a us spec 300zx????? lol never knew there were that many differences can anyone explain. below is the mail "Thank you for your emails about the TC system. The UK system is simpler than the US system as it is non-sequential, and we do therefore limit this to the UK only, as it can damage an engine on a US spec car. I don't personally know what price they are selling it for, but I will find out. "

Quick question - does anyone know what internal diameter the oil lines from the transmission are? Also - I need to extend them, would I be right in thinking that fuel hose (provided it can take the pressure - what pressure does the A/T run at anyway?) would be fine? If so, should just be a case of extending the oil lines and fitting a bigger cooler, I hope Cheers.. ------------------ Az

At present the tranmission is off the car while the engine has loads of work done to it. What (if anything) could I do with the box while its off? I've got a crunchy 3rd to 4th @ 6000 RPM, which seems to be getting worse. And the general shifting between gears isnt as smooth as it used to be. How about getting a sixth gear in there, is this possible? CheerZ in advance Simon.

I'm going to replace my standard exhaust system with a stainless steel sports jobbie sometime next year. 1st choice at the moment is a Magnex one (twin 3" pipes each side). I'm looking for an increase in the "base" at idle and a nice howl when I put my foot down (but nothing too OTT). Mines a Jap import TT auto (1990). Anyone got any recommendations?

Hi all I,m new to this forum & to 300ZX's. I'm looking to buy one & could do with some advice. I've seen a 93' TT manual for sale which I had a quick look at yesterday - Bodywork & Interior seem excellent but its done over 110000 miles - is this a problem & what should I look out for mechanically? Also - what are parts prices & availability like? & how easy/difficult is the engine/car to work on? Thanks Neil

On deciding to re-paint my alloys this weekend, I noticed while the rear ass was airborne that the drivers side wheel has a lotta play in it mostly from side to side. From what I can see it looks like the tie rod arm off the hicas, the bush joint that joins to the hub is moving. Any ideas if I can buy a bush kit or is it all new hub required????? anyone can help it'll be very much apprieciated cheers Jonny................

I've mentioned this before but I have a bad leak somewhere at the front from the power stearing. It's getting really bad now and leaves a trail of fluid whenever i'm on full lock. I'm having to fill the reservoir from empty every 2 days now and i've spent a packet on fluid over the last few months. I'm sure it's going to be a faulty hydraulic hose and i'm going to get it properly checked out this week by a garage. Does anyone know a cheap source of these pipes? Somebody said you have to buy a complete power stearing system from Nissan (!!£!!) - is this right? Help!

There was a post about a solution to our poor Headlights coming up in the Max Power magazine with Peugeot 206 headlights fitted to a 300ZX. Apologies if I missed any posts, but I came across the following site with a scan: http://www.crosswinds.net/~vectornut/trippyz.html (I wish I knew how to put a hot-link in)! From a post on tt.net: "Mods include such things as Peugeot 206 headlights, Supra taillights, Porsche GT2 side repeaters and spotlights, WV Sharon filler cap, Impreza WRX rear spoiler, Strosek rear bumper with Rover 400 plate surround, all painted Alfa 156 blue". Not sure about the Rover bit!!!!!! Geoff

Thank's guys, the difference between a tick and a knock is small to the ear but large to the pocket as I understand it! My heart is telling me it's a loud tick, but my head is saying knock! With the engine at idle, I disconnected one coil at a time to see if the noise went away (if so - indicating to me that it would prob have been a rod bearing) it did not - phew! I will try the flush/oil change thing and take it easy to see if that works! Am I going to break anything if I keep (calmly)driving it though?

I just REALLY got into Z's since only recently I had the funds, and resources to obtain one, but I don't see many 300z's in any car magazines anymore, I was wondering what some of the good quarter mile times for the Z.

Anyone seen or purchased the above red TT 2+2UK spec car in the last 4-6 weeks? I wrote it off in May - and now I know for sure it's re-surfaced in the Fulham & Hammersmith area!
