Just tested the car with the speed convertor removed.. Pulls like a train all the way up to an indicated 185kph at which point the limiter cuts in (very odd feeling.. it's so soft you'd hardly notice it apart from the fact that you're not getting any faster anymore).. Perhaps a busy dual carriageway wasn't the best place to test it mind you Nobody seemed to mind... Then again, I imagine it was something like; "What the hell is that coming up the outside lane?" "Dunno dear, it looks li..." "Too late, he's gone"

my Z's been acting up today, when I was sitting in traffic the idling started to get all lumpy and even when the engine was revved it still done the same. It carried on doing it even when I moved off but after about 30 seconds of driving it stops. Any ideas what could be causing it? I thought plugs, but they were changed about 20k miles ago. Vijay

Anyone know where i'm best off starting to try and find a set of UK clocks? I tried www.intapart.co.uk already and they never came back (so can't have had the parts).. Johnny at GPS? Luke a the Z Centre? Anywhere else? Cheers.. I just removed the dodgy 6 wire speed convertor (that was, I believe, buggering up the speed sensor wire to the ECU(s)) so I want a set of UK clocks (and I'll need to get a JWT ECU to remove the speed limiter I assume? Spent the afternoon removing the dash and taking off the speed convertor, which I've now done, and the A/T light no longer flashes at me merrily.. I noticed that the importers/a garage had removed the HICAS warning lamp - guess why? Coz it was on permenantly... Topped up the PS fluid with some Dexron III and it's gone out... I wonder if their speed convertor was causing the HICAS lamp to come on as well as buggering up the speed signals to the ECU? Anyway.. in the process my boost gauge has stopped working Buggered if I can work out which pin on which connector it is - does anyone know? Ahhh. I got a puncture in one of my back tyres. They where Khumo, not bad but had so took a long time to wear down but not the best grip. Any way, the side wall split, dont know how, later told by the tyre place that I nail was in the tyre and as it went down pierced the side wall. So I my friend frantically phone round for tyres, because I was stuck in Salford changing my wheel. No one had 245/45/16 in stock becuase it is an unusuall size, and they all said it would take time to get them. I needed them ASAP. The spare wheel was not stable to say the least. Phoned Pemberton Tyres, the only thing they had in that size was the Bridgestone S02. So now I have Bridgestone all …

oh how i've missed you =) well the hurricane is almost here in Florida, hard rain is crashing down on us, so what do I decide to do? something I have'nt done in a about 2 years, too long....... I took my Camry out to a school parking lot, and hit about 45 - 55mph, pulled the e brake while turning, did 360, and 720 rotational donuts, drifts, and fish tails. surprisingly enough the camry did pretty decent and was fun to drive(I'd NEVER do this on dry roads with the camry), and my friend all scared holding onto everything he can lol. it was fun

Had an awful day today,well week really after the terrible events in the US, today I realised just how thin the line is between life and death! Just after 12pm this lunchtime one of my staff, a great guy by the name of Ian had a seizure, he's a big guy over 6'5 and 27 stone. he hit the floor with a fair bang, as we tried to help him he swallowed his tounge and started to choke, we called the paramedic's, he then stopped breathing, we had to get him breathing again, but his jaw was locked, had to use a wooden spoon to get it open. Luckily we all have had good 1st aid training, we got him to breath again, 10 min later it was like it never happened, we had him…

Hi , I've got a new fuel filter from Halfords and have fitted it tonight to my Z. The new Filter is much smaller and so can't be secured by the existing bracket. I'm thinking of running water through the old filter in hope of cleaning it, letting it dry out and then refitting it to my Z. Does this sound OK or really stupid???? Thanks in anticipation, Van

How to approach Terrorism the right way... Someone on TT.net posted this up, I tend to agree with what this guy is suggesting. If it is found that Usama Bin Laden is connected, they should basically take action at Afghanistan seeing as they've been harbouring him all these years. Taliban must know about his training camps etc. So they are no longer an innocent party, but co-conspiriators and should be treated as such! This is not looking good!!! Tim :-(
