Fixed my water leak (I think), but now my aircon compressor clutch (I think) has given up.. Basically, if I switch on the aircon, I get a moaning noise (very loud!) coming from the area of the compressor.. Kinda like belt squeal only a lot lower.. Sound like the clutch, or the compressor? Trouble is coz I get so much water coming in (grr) I need to use the demister quite a bit (sighs) Az ------------------ Yes.. I know my back wheels *were* on backwards.. They're not now, 'k? ;)

Hi guys have spent all day under my zed removing the two middle boxes and the restricter and replacing with straight pipe inserts.Firstly i was gob smacked to find the internals in both boxes had collapsed and were trying to make their way down to the tailpipes. Also the material was like metal swarf like shavings..weird.I had thought the exhaust had a muffled sound to it, I wonder how many of us have had this prob without knowing. The upside is that after a test run the car is only marginaly louder but has defo increased in power. The boost is quicker to rise and I will now have to change the size of the boost jets as there is too much boost now for reliable performance.Oh …

OK, ever since I put in my aftermarket head unit (Pioneer DEH-9100R) the leccy aerial no longer goes up and down.. Figured that was because it wasn't attached to the head unit So.. Got a plug from Maplin, and wired it up to the *thick* aerial wire... Couldn't pick up any stations, no up & down aerial action.. Wired it up to the *thin* aerial wire, now I have radio (FM & AM), but no leccy aerial action, so I assume it's running off the rear windscreen one.. Question is - what made the stock aerial go up and down!? There don't appear to be any non-connected wires to the stereo or anything like that.. Anyone know? Cheers Az ----…

Yesterday I started to hear a clunk noise from the back right when ever I let go of the accelerator. Shit! I bet the axel is going or the bearings or something. It cant be a loose wheel because I had new tyres on the thing less than a week ago,and the air guns they use to put them on with puts F1 ones to shame. Any way clunking is starting to worry me, becuase it is acompanied by a regular sticky noise. The same noise I had when I had a puncture. I get home and get the jack out to look that the noise is. Gets the wrench and socket ready, only to find 3 of the 5 nuts are missing. Some on had tried to take the wheel off. The two left together. So it looks like they where …

Anyone know where I can get my hands on the above mentioned sparkplugs? Have been advised by NELSON that the car should run okay on NGK PFR6B-11 and -11C plugs. However, looking at previous posts both on this forum and elsewhere it would seem that the -11B's are the way to go. Thanks guys! Danny

Anyone know where the cheapest place to get lambda sensors is ? Think one of mine is knackered as it only flashes 5 times in 10s in mode 2, whereas the other one does about 8 flashes. Also exhausts are very black at the tailpipes. Anyone got second hand sensors ?? Cheers

Had a few problems lately with the door lock, on the verge of snapping the key off. Half - inched some sapphire precision lube (with p.t.f.e) from work and sprayed all in the lock and handle, then went crazy on all other stuff including leccy aerial. Locks now smooth as silk, can really recommend doing this. cheerZZZZZZZZ

Been a while since I posted guys cause my car has been gone for a month, remeber I had it in with my local Nissan dealer 8 times! Well my warranty company finally saw sense. Took it to a Z specialist and they are paying for an entire engine rebuild, new engine mounts and hoses, Trans rebuild, Oil cooler, and A/C regas and new compressor! Should get it back this weekend. Mechanics said the newly conditioned engine is mint! all this cause of a little hesitation!! heres hoping!!!

Mine's split and i'm absolutely broke - Can't afford another big Z bill this month so if anyone has a standard pipe from the right throttle body going cheeeep get in touch. Spending all my cash on this monster and the faults are still mounting up! Needs 60K service, HICAS leak, holes in exhaust, front pads, rear disks, rust on rear wing... The list seems to grow by the day! Maybe i shouldn't have bought the traction control and boost controller...naaah the grin factor takes away the financial worries!

Where's the 'embarassed' smiley? Ahh there it is.. Car starts now guys and gals.. When I did the CAS wiring, I left the right hand main boost hoses off... Car won't start without them as they form part of the vacuum system... Put them back on (well the stainless ones) and it starts up fine - wobbling the CAS wiring has no effect whatsoever anymore, so that's fixed too... Just goes to prove that even those of us with a reasonable amount of theoretical knowledge can still be caught out by doing something really dumb! Especially when it's getting dark and you're rushing to finish... Please forgive me! Az ------------------…

...I've been over the Channel in Garlic chomping land for a couple of weeks, and was wondering if anyone had tried the 1/4 mile, apart from driving on the track?I couldn't see any previous posts regarding this. JEZ p.s. The roads in France are nice and empty and Gatso free!

My Z has a pair of HKS Super Drager pipes but they have rusted through on the bend after the Cats/before the back box. The rest looks fine so does anyone know of someone who can cut out and replace just the rusty section? There's plenty of good pipe before the back box. The holes are big enough to get a fist into and it passed it's MOT a few weeks back! Sounds mean though!
